#Repost @jff_football ・・・ "So well deserved" is how President of the #JamaicaFootballFederation, Mr. Michael Ricketts, describes the #NationalAward to Howard  'Juicy' Bell. Mr. Bell received the #OrderofDistinction in the Officer Rank. Howard Bell is currently General Manager for all #nationalteams with the responsibility of overseeing the managerial support given to all of Jamaica's national football teams. He was originally Manager of the #ReggaeBoyz. Howard Bell has worked at the Jamaica Football Federation in various positions since 1994. At the #JFF he is highly respected for his experience, the high level of respect he commands from different stakeholders especially in the public sector; the calm and effective way in which he executes his responsibilities. However, it is his playing days and his contribution to Jamaica's football program on the field that has endeared 'Juicy Bell' to Jamaicans. He played #ManningCup for #KingstonCollege and for the national team to the age of 37. This included playing on Caribbean teams including serving as captain. Prior to that he played for #Santos and #TivoliGardens football clubs. Howard Bell showed #unbelievableskill; was an astute reader of the game; was calm and unselfish on the field of play where he mastered many positions, except goalkeeping. A true, #humble, #proud servant of the game almost his entire life with much more to give. The JFF is honored to have him as a part of the football team and is extremely happy that he has received national attention in this way. Nationalteams kämpfen um WM-Titel im Handtaschen-Weitwurf

Zum fünften Mal treffen sich heute in Bottrop Dutzende Spieler zur Weltmeisterschaft im Handtaschen-Weitwurf. Es darf geschleudert, gestoßen oder nach Diskusart geworfen werden.

20 Teams gehen im Movie Park an den Start, darunter Titelverteidiger Österreich. Die meisten Spieler sind aber Deutsche, die im Team ihres Lieblingslandes antreten.

In Vierermannschaften muss die größte Gesamtweite erzielt werden. Pluspunkte gibt die Jury für die Art der Ausführung. Weltrekordhalter ist Pierre Ermini, ein Klavierträger aus Wuppertal, der seine Tasche 2015 im Finale für Finnland 35,32 Meter weit warf.

Das amtierende Weltmeisterteam Österreich erzielte im vergangenen Jahr eine Gesamtweite von 67,44 Meter. Fast ein Drittel Anteil am Erfolg hatte Andreas Ruland aus Zülpich mit knapp 26 Metern. Der 44-Jährige hat sich für dieses Jahr eine Designer-Tasche aus Paris kommen lassen.

Männer gehen im Wettbewerb mit einem Handicap an den Start. Ihre Tasche wiegt mit zwei Kilo doppelt so viel wie das Frauen-Spielgerät.
