It always makes me happy when I have the opportunity to do something with these illustrations that has a personal connection. Not only do I get to make reference to my native heritage on my mom side, but I also got to draw a character that I haven't drawn since 2021! This being my rendition of the Death God character that I made over on Story Surgery, or I did a rewrite of Netflix's Death Note film and conceptualized it utilizing the native culture of the Seattle region. Uy Shqwaluwun, Doodlers! Happy #dontinktwice!

Severed dissonance
Fading into the misty void
A life once fueled by wonder
Torched into the ash of nothingness
Ambient laughter of disconnected realities
Splintered by the harshness of humanity
A light held so warm
Plunged into an endless pit of darkness
The coldness of the atmosphere
Brings a glassy remnance
Of what was meant to be a purity
Purged into an absence
Where the perpetuating energy
Ceases to a null
As one decision to destroy
Obscured infinity into an finalized zero
