I had this idea of a native woman who rides a transformer buffalo and wonders the Great Plains after the fall of modern society and works to protect those seeking to return to their rightful land, and sparklings emerging and being taking in and raised by a human family. I decided to combine the two. I am not native myself!! So if there are aspects that need to be changed please tell me! I got inspiration for Dakoda from @off.the.rez on TikTok
Iina and Dakoda emerged after the matrix awakened the energon within the earth, born on a reservation in Wyoming. Seeing that they did come from the earth and were part of it, they were taken in and raised like any other child.
As they grew, their older sister Nanabah took it upon herself to help defend their community from both human and alien threats. Knowing that society had basically collapsed and people were on a free for all, Nanabah wanted to make sure her people were able to flourish like they used to, without the government stepping on their necks.
Nanaba and Iina are dedicated to helping others in need and protecting the wildlife native to the great planes, they hope to use this opportunity to build a better tomorrow for all. Dakoda on the other hand is a lot more lost when it comes to figuring out what he wants to do. He doesn’t want to leave his family behind but he also wants to head to one of the still functioning cities in order to meet other transformers like himself. Even if he prefers to live like a human, he still can’t help but feel different.
Marshals
I need to vent, because this has been bothering me for a while now.
For the love of everything, Taylor Sheridan ... please DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, let Kayce Dutton fall for a white, high-blonde, rich girl. Period. I don't trust her for one, but especially not this fast after Monica.
Because here’s the thing: Kayce’s entire character arc only works because he exists between worlds. His identity is literally built on that tension - the Dutton legacy vs. Monica, the ranch vs. the Reservation, power vs. belonging. That’s what makes him interesting. That’s what gives his choices weight.
So if you suddenly give him a generic love interest who neatly fits back into the Dutton world, it doesn’t just feel random — it actively undercuts everything his story has been about. It turns a complex, identity-driven arc into something flat and predictable. It feels like a reset instead of growth.
And honestly… it would just be lazy writing.
Also (and this is a bigger issue) I still feel like Yellowstone never goes deep enough when it comes to Native storylines. Yes, they’re present. Yes, we have characters like Rainwater and Mo, and they’re great. But they often end up carrying the weight of representation almost by themselves, while the show keeps returning to the Duttons as the only emotional and narrative center.
We got glimpses of life on the Reservation in season 1, and then the show largely pulled back. And that’s frustrating, because the worldbuilding is right there. There’s so much room to explore community, daily life, generational dynamics, identity, and conflict from a Native perspective; not just in relation to the Duttons, but as fully realized stories on their own.
I've seen Yellowstone and of course I've seen the few storylines connected to the Reservation but its just not enough. Right now, it often feels like Native characters exist in orbit around the main plot, instead of being allowed to drive it.
And where are the Native women? Seriously. Because if we’re talking about depth, that’s one of the biggest gaps. Representation isn’t just about presence; it’s about variety, agency, and perspective. And that’s still missing.
I know the prequels have done more in this area, and I appreciate that. But Yellowstone itself had the space and the platform to go deeper... and it just… doesn’t. Not in a sustained way.
Disclaimer: I’m not part of the Native community, so I’m not speaking for them. However I am paying attention, and I want to see those stories treated with the depth and care they deserve.
And I get it; Taylor is probably writing what he knows, which is why almost all of his shows work. And he tells great stories. Which is why the idea of giving Kayce in Marshals a new, safe, familiar love interest feels like such a step backward. His story should keep engaging with that in-between space, not retreat from it. That tension is the point.
So let Kayce grieve for the rest of s1 and maybe let's see a new native woman in s2. Oh and also more Miles in Marshals S2 please. Tatanka Means is awesome.
I love that one of the great indigenous unifiers is just, like fancy screaming. Like weather it’s Turtle Island Natives, Nordics, Africans, Asians, we’re all united by the cultural need to be as loud as humanly possible

a beaded Oshikatsu rosette i made for myself ^_^ the beadwork took me roughly 5-6 hours and the ribbon work 2 hours 🩷
"What are you doing for the strawberry moon?" Feeling a little discombobulated over the way white people are assigning mystical significance to something from Northeast Native American culture that doesn't actually have mystical significance, I guess.
This “Strawberry Moon” name has been used by Native American Algonquian tribes that live in the northeastern United States as well as the Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples to mark the ripening of “June-bearing” strawberries that are ready to be gathered. The Haida term Berries Ripen Moon reflects this as well. As flowers bloom and early fruit ripens, June is a time of great abundance for many.
