I am sadly in a very bad place mental health wise so I can't go on about it myself, but I can link you relevant twitter threads! Screenshot of a white person talking about it Same person apologizing for speaking over native islanders Native islander who is a friend of the person above explaining he asked for the thread to be made Same native islander talking about the issues in the MAProject Another native islander saying there aren't issues White indigenous person asking the animators to listen One of the animators (not native islander) of the MAProject saying people are misinformed Another one of the animators saying it is dropping it's part Indigenous person asking people to listen to native islanders Indigenous people talking about how this is an ongoing issue Same indigenous person that started the previous thread talking about how people don't listen to indigenous voices The same indigenous person again, saying white people are misunderstanding Previous native islander saying people should have known better The host talking about many facts about their vision of the MAProject and that their race is vague and they're open for questions (despite ignoring mine so far) And uh as an additional, my personal post on the subject, asking people to do better and check out some resources I linked Because of my current mental state I cannot find more resources at the moment, so I heavily encourage you guys to do your own research on things, and if you find anything useful feel free to send it my way so I can add to the thread. The host retweeted my thread but hasn't shown any signs that they're planning to do anything, and it's very frustrating, specially since they retweeted my post that asked people to do just that. I'm very tired.

Addressing Any Native Hawaiian Islanders Whom Wish to Answer

The arrival of the holiday season brings with it the loads of Christmas music being played everywhere at anytime. But two songs are to be the subject of the address. I, as a Puerto Rican and general Hispanic-American, always hold a little bit of contempt in my heart whenever I hear Feliz Navidad, a sentiment which I think is shared by many other Hispanics like me. That is my comparison. So my question; what is your opinion of the song Mele Kalikimaka? Do other native islanders heave a collective sigh anytime it's played like us Hispanics?

Certainly neither Jan Van Riebeeck nor Christopher Columbus were “The discoverers” of Africa or New World [America] but they were more precisely like ‘’The gate-openers’’ for European exploration, exploitation and colonizations of Africa and native Americans They found these continents and all islands inhabitated by indigenous African people and native islanders all along before them
