I'm DONE. No, no more touch ups! Been working on this for weeks! This is Native American!Star Butterfly. I kept the outfit because Natives can be modern. I don't have to dress her in ancient-based designs just because of her race/culture. I really wanted to push that message with her. I changed some of the colors to match her skin-tone better. Star's original design was meant to look good with her skin. I tried to reflect that. In the show, eyes are shaped differently to reflect race. Since I shifted Star's race, I decided to do this as well. It took awhile to figure out a design. I think she looks less absent-minded, and more attentive, unfortunately. Criticisms are encouraged with her. I want to edit these official works better. Be gentle, please. There is a way to critique gently while being on the mark.

Didn't put in a description on deviantart, might as well do it here. The Apple Family is your stereotypical white farmer. Applejack's pallet is designed to reflected a tanned white girl. Hence the change, since I'm turning her family into traditional Native American farmers. The Apple Family speaks in a southern accent, but their produce is a mainly northern crop. This allows me to make the RealAmerican!version more widespread. That's why they have Tamarillo trees. ...That's my excuse for not drawing squash/maize/beans. It also explains Big Mac's (Big Max? Big Maize?) llama saddle, and Applebloom's (Pumpkinbloom's?) butterfly whorl hair. Granny's shawl changed from apples to kidney beans. I kept Granny's visor, cutie mark and the fence, because I'm not limiting the technology. I'm merely changing the culture. I'm not proud of Pumpkinjack's cutie mark; but I'm very, very proud of Big Maize's.

Kelime anlamı ile "yerlileştirme, yerelleştirme" diyebileceğimiz İngilizce sözcük. Dilbilimdeki anlamı ise çok geniş ve çok çeşitli olmakla birlikte, özellikle çeviri alanındaki kullanım manası akla gelir. Yabancı bir kelimeyi Türkçe'ye çevirirken kültürel birtakım aidiyetleri de göz önünde bulundurmak manasında özetlenebilir.

Şaka bir yana bu çizgi filmi izledikten çok sonraki yıllarda, The Jetsons , yani "Jetoğulları"nın mükemmel bir nativization örneği ile "Jetgiller", hani halamgiller-dayımgiller gibisinden çevrildiğini fark edince aklım uçmuştu benim. Şu anda bile gerçekten takdir ediyorum bu meseleyi. O yüzden mutlaka paylaşmalıydım bunu. Hem fena mı belki hikayeleştirme yoluyla kelime öğretimi yapmış oluruz ツ

Ayrıca üniversite 3. sınıfta bile Jetgiller'i konu edinen bir sunum hazırlamışlığım vardır. Hocaların şaşkınlığını halen hatırlıyorum... Bu çizgi filmi unutmadım ve unutturmayacağım  ツ
