to me they weren’t, but they were heavily shipped by many (especially kaimook and her fansite followers) and played into the fantasy to a certain extent with their fanservice. if i understood/remember correctly, nat described their relationship as “friends who love each other very much.”

however, the lines get a little more blurred when kaimook goes to the warlock to intensify their bond (and feelings?) which is what we saw when kin got sick and nat took him to the infirmary. the warlock’s magic was not meant to harm them, but praewa piggybacked off of his spell and took things up a notch resulting in their locker room sexcapades and the events that followed.
