i love me some good zutara content don’t get me wrong like the painted spirit scene was fan indulgent and i was giggling 😭 my problem with natla is the holy character assassination and writing choices. Zuko stealing from the pregnant woman WHAT?? In animated show he literally made a choice to just keep moving forward despite seeing the food. Zuko alone was to show how he acted without no one watching him, and how he’s a decent person inside, did not need to do that oml

Aang’s character being so mean to katara was also out of pocket omg, aang is such a sweet kid he’d never man esp with katara, he would try to understand if anything TvT.

Also also ZUKO NOT FREEING APPA that scene with iroh was so INTEGRAL to his charcter and yall just cut that out 💔 ik people love the vigilante work and i think it’s pretty cool too but i wish they show more domestic life with zuko and iroh. Zuko’s time in ba sing se showed the life he could have once he wasn’t focused on the shame and troubled past, allowing himself to enjoy a simple life with his funny uncle. This makes zuko’s betrayal more compelling and provides a stronger impact. The stuff they cut out like the desert and serpent’s past being the first episode?? Okay 💀 there’s more stuff too..

Anyway, I think Zuko's little boat was my favorite part of the Netflix live action, I gasped when I saw it and immediately wanted to paint it. It's been so long since I made any fanart, but the little boat compelled me. Hope you like it!
