Put in the tags the completely finished (whether cancelled or wrapped up on its own terms) TV series that has YOUR perfect ending, however you define that
Please don’t include huge spoilers for the specifics of the endings, and it would also make me happy if people don’t use this to talk about the shows whose endings they hated
i got a 100% on this bostonian-to-english quiz but i grew up near boston..... i'm curious what you guys get. there's a couple things in here i didn't even know are regionalisms + a couple things i hadn't heard before but could parse pretty easily from context. tag/reply with what you got and if you're familiar with the area or not!
Happy birthday 🎊🎉🎂🎁🎈❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! ❤️It was a really fun day, even for a Monday. My neighbors even threw a party that kept me up until 3am. Still, mighty nice of them to honor me like that. ❤️❤️
My Ultimate Instrument Tier List. If I had the option, I would have designed an entirely separate tier, like the lowest layer of the Abyss, just for banjo (and banjo players). If it was up to me, every banjo player would be bludgeoned to death with their own banjos, before tossing all banjos into one huge pile and setting fire to it for the world's most wholesome and happy bonfire.

this was a pretty exciting week for great new music! it's not often when I get 2 songs in one week to put on my all time favorites playlist. actually, let's start with those two standout songs:
who or what is ugly ozo? Apparently, they're a shoegaze trio from Isle of Wight, and they like to tackle themes of feminine rage, supernatural horror and revenge. Sounds good? Sounds great, actually! Well, I'm glad to say this song definitely lived up to the advertising, it's a fucking banger is what it is. Also, the MV slaps. I couldn't help but notice how... well the two girls in the MV are getting along. It was only afterwards I learned that Jess and Boo are sisters. I'm glad we cleared that up because I sort of misread the vibes there 😅
Who the heck is Mikayla Geier? well, apparently she's a former ballerina turned future legendary pop star. When I heard this song first, my immediate association was that it sounds a LOT like the weird, quirky dance pop from Marina's first album. And then I learned that Mikayla is actually about to go on tour with... MARINA! (spot a brother a ticket or two, pls?) That's a recognition of budding genius, right there. Also, this song really needed a MV. As a former ballerina, this girl can bust out some crazy dance moves, just check out her Youtube shorts.
Do you remember the summer of 1994? You're about to start high school, but the school is out for summer, so you're sneakily staying up late after midnight to watch some music videos on MTV. Then Beck's 'Loser' comes up and you crank the TV just a little louder, and suddenly mom is yelling at you to switch the TV off and go to the damn bed already. Ok, you DON'T remember that because you're not an ancient fuck. What I'm trying to say is that Beck was with me in my formative years, making awesome music, and he's still with me 30 years later, doing the same thing. Respect to this man. :)
Everybody knows MUNA, right? You must be living under a rock if you've never heard 'Silk Chiffon', the legendary collab they had with Phoebe Bridgers. Well... that was some time ago, and I had honestly kinda forgotten about MUNA by now. But they're here to remind me, and with a really awesome song, too. :)
I really hate the kind of nostalgia inspired rewriting the past in popular culture, like when people suddenly started talking about the universally derided Star Wars prequels how 'they're akshually NOT that bad' just because the latest trilogy was somehow even worse.
That's really not how it works, though. Suppose you went to a fast food place and were served a disgusting burger, cold and raw, and you hated it as you still ate it. But then, years later, you went to the same fast food place, and this time the cold and raw burger gave you massive food poisoning afterwards. Yes, that makes it worse than your first experience, but does it make the first burger GOOD? F no.
In truth, I brought this up because I'm seeing something similar in the music circles in regards to Nickelback and Maroon 5. There's a lot of talk like 'maybe we were wrong about these bands' and 'they're actually not that bad'.
Bitch, no. If this is trying to reframe these shit bands in relation to today's music somehow being worse, let me explain something to you. Music today is as good as it's ever been. There are more new songs released in one week of 2026, than in the entire year of 1996. If you can't find some amazing music to listen to that appeals to your tastes, then that is clearly your skill issue, not because 'all new music bad lol'.
also I just listened to 'Heroine', new Maroon 5 song. I was mentally vomiting 15 seconds into the song. They were the worst band in history, and they still are, regardless of how hard Imagine Dragons are trying to take that crown.
other people's nostalgia-twisted takes are so wrong and annoying. why can't they be as perfect and valid as my nostalgia takes?
The masses yearn for more Katyzula/ TyAzutara content. I am happily to oblige with another commission 🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️

I feel like I should have more to say after finishing Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, but the more I think about all of its themes, the more I have this 'well duh, I already knew that' feeling about all of them.
like I didn't really need to be warned off marriage, I made that decision for myself 20 years ago or so. I don't need a curse to just say NOPE.
it's certainly an interesting discourse about the wrong or right reasons for getting married, but I feel like I personally had it figured out already. But I can also see how this could make someone less anti-marriage than me maybe hopefully reexamine their own reasons for wanting to marry, whether it's to emulate the perceived perfection of their parents union or creating the appearance of being 'successful' in every aspect of their life.
also, I have to say - as someone who hates the concept of soulmates, this is perhaps first work of fiction where I thought soulmates were handled in an actually interesting way. Compliments of VERY good writing for this show, exceptionally well done.
honestly this week in new music felt more like being disappointed by the new Olivia Rodrigo song than actually being excited by some of the new releases. and it's not like Drop Dead is a bad song, I guess I just had too high expectations for it. but anyway, here's the stuff I actually loved
Tori Amos was definitely one of my most listened to artists during the 90's, but her last decent album was American Doll Posse back in 2007, everything since then has just been weird in a wrong sort of way. This song is very much like a 90's throwback, and to me that's a good thing.
Hayley Kiyoko is back with yet another amazing lesbian anthem! I was so excited to see a new Hayley offering in my feed, and she doesn't disappoint with this one, it's a fantastic song. Gigi Perez is perfect collab partner, too. I'll be listening to this one a LOT in the coming weeks.
I really hope Ruby Roberts blows up in a massive way, because this emerging indie-pop hasn't put a step wrong so far. I've pretty much loved every song she puts out, but this 80's dance inspired earworm is imo her best yet.
As if we didn't already have enough reasons to be insanely jealous of Robert Pattinson, the bastard also has the BEST WIFE, damn him. Anyway, if you want a pure pop banger in Year 2026, Suki is your girl. This is just fantastic in its simplicity, Suki isn't trying to reinvent the wheel, nor should she. It's pure (if slightly toxic) pop song and also, I can't stop watching the MV because (redacted redacted).
I watched the first 20 minutes of that Stranger Things spinoff, purely because I wanted to see if it's as bad as the trailer and... well, it's actually somehow worse than the trailer. It's cynical slop.
In some ways, this annoys me more than AI slop. Like, the algorithm just can't help itself, it doesn't know any better. But then you give actual humans the rare opportunity to create something, only for them to come up with this? It's some of the lowest effort cash grab I've ever seen.
There needs to be a character limit on marriage vows
what the hell, bitch didn't even drink her disgusting pinky toe, sperm and blood cocktail?! the fuck? after all that effort to make it, I would have chugged it down 100% out of spite
even worse, she just left it out there instead of dumping it? what if some drunk wedding guest wanders in, sees it and goes 'Ooooh free drink!' and gulps down some Nicky spunk
that be the real horror here
