The Cat’s Meow || Open
Quentin and Fermata stared intently at the pokemon in front of them. Neither wanted to take their eyes off of it for a minute, fearing something terrible might happen if they did. Only a few feet away from the duo was the pokemon in question. Metronome, leading the way down the road.
The Espurr loved to explore but rarely got a chance too with how busy Quentin was most of the time. That morning he had insisted, in his little kitten way, to stay out of his Pokeball and have some fun. The stubborn mews and meows were enough to convince Quentin, and now the little psychic type was in charge of choosing the group's route. Was the middle of a city the best place to let him explore? Probably not, but Quentin couldn't resist that cute little face! Luckily the streets weren't too crowded.
"He's fine. Everything's fine!" Quentin said, chuckling nervously and looking at Fermata. While Metronome was enjoying himself, Quentin and his Lucario weren't. The two were like overprotective parents, constantly worrying about any trouble the Espurr might get into. "Nothing bad is going to happen Fermata. We're right here, and Metronome will be fine.
Quentin patted his pokemon on the back, looked ahead, and gasped loudly. Metronome was a lot faster than he looked. Thankfully he was still in sight, but was too far away for the trainer or Lucario to feel comfortable. Especially not with him walking towards a few people.
It seemed Metronome was following in his trainer's footsteps by not looking where he was going. He bumped into the back of someone's legs, before falling back on his behind. Metronome quickly got up, before angrily meowing at the leg he collided with. He even slapped it once but it came off more like a soft tap due to his size.
"Metronoooooome!" Quentin exclaimed, rushing towards his pokemon and picking him up quickly. He held the Espurr, who was squirming around and trying to get free, against his chest tightly. "You can't go around hitting people like that. It's not nice."
He then directed his attention to the other human.
"Sorry about that. He's still young. He doesn't know what to do all the time and can be a little...rambunctious. I'm sure you know how it is." Quentin trailed off, not quite sure what to say or do next. He cleared his throat awkwardly, before mumbling another apology. "Um...sorry...again...sorry."
Too Long [Opener]
“Disappointing.”
Archer mutters lowly, the noise is drowned by Houndoom’s fire blast. Flickers of crimson and bold oranges touch his face and illuminate his bored features, as well as the shocked expression of his supposed opponent. “G-..Golem..” Utters the Pokemon before collapsing in on itself, Golem’s ace trainer sneers, blasting away the KO’D Pokemon with a beam of red, back to the Pokeball he had gone. Houndoom seems to grin, jagged teeth glittering in the nearby lamppost’s artificial light. Archer snaps once, Houndoom returns to his side. The Executive lays a hand on the Pokemon’s forehead, and traces where hard bone meets rigid fur. Houndoom breathes in recognition, Archer continues gazing forward. “Alright!” Exclaims the trainer, “I’ve got just one more Poke partner to us-.” Archer raises a finger, the gesture sudden and enough to cause his opponent to sputter into silence. “We’re done here. I do not take kindly to people wasting my time. Away with you.” Some sort of refusal had bubbled in the embarrassed Ace Trainer’s throat but Archer (Houndoom as well..) had already turned away from him. Stomping idiots in a battle was not what he was after... ___________________________________________________
There was something so incredibly serene and nostalgic about National Park after hours. Few visited it now that Alola was the talk of the town, prompting the few security guards that had once been posted to be sent towards more pressing areas and issues. The sky was dark, thick clouds of grey had rolled into the night. Only harsh, artificial lights from scattered lamp posts lit the park that separated Route 35 from Route 36. The park seemed much more run-down then he had remembered, although it had been several years. Even fewer Pokemon scuttled nearby, some of the lights flickered ominously casting a dark shade over the executive’s features. Apparently a maintenance program was beyond budget, huh Johto? “How sad.” Archer remarks, Houndoom seems to nod immediately in understanding. “I almost feel bad.” About what? That no body would enjoy the cool night air against their skin anymore in this area? That he would be destroying National Park’s tried and trued Bug Catching Contest? Tch, did they even have those anymore..? “Fire blast.” Archer barks, Houndoom immediately lets out a growl. The brightest red spheres collect near the fire type’s opened maw, shaming whatever attempt the lamp post’s around had regarding illumination. “Dooooommm...~!” Growls Houndoom, mouth stretching impossibly wide. A bead of inferno races forward at once, transforming into a shape much like a human body would. It collides with such strength into a tree that the force itself shatters the thick bark, before engulfing everything near in bright and hot wildfire.
Hello Kalos!/ open
It had just been a few months since she integrated into Kalos’ culture. When she first arrived, it provided many obstacles for her to overcome; language is the most difficult. Now a few months in, she could speak very basic conservational French. There might be some phrases that she might not understand, but she is still learning.
In one swift motion, Koharu opened her small closet. Hues silently judging the neat rows of various clothing attire that she could wear. How was she feeling today? Dressy? No. Casual? Yes. Visualizing how the individual pieces would fit together, Koharu had her outfit for the day.
Return to Johto — OPEN
💎 — She stepped off the Magnet Train at the Goldenrod City train station and looked around with a smile on her face. It felt great to be back in the familiar region of Johto, yet felt so strange to be there.
Kris had spent the whole year in the neighboring region of Kanto, helping Professor Oak with his PokeDex. Though she did travel the world, she spent the majority of her time in the professor’s lab studying. All-in-all, Kanto felt more like home than her actual home region.
Making her way to a safe location in the station, she noticed the station didn’t change much. Which was weird, considering Goldenrod was always changing. The most obvious change were the tourist and people visiting the city. The researcher watched a hoard of people board the train while others got off. Crystal watched others buying items from the vending machines, and families relaxing on the benches waiting for their train to arrive. The sight of these things made her happy to be home.
Speaking of home, she couldn’t wait to head to her house in New Bark Town and relax. And to catch up with the others and their own adventures.
“First thing first,” Kris said to herself, rubbing her stomach after it growled. “Got to find something to eat.” She made her way to the closest vending machine; the one that had a line forming in front of it.
“Excuse me. Are you in line for the vending machine?” Kris asked the person in front of her.
Anger | Open Starter
Silently yet violently, Dawn slammed down her Super Rod onto the ground with a force that threatened the snap the tool. Her breathing was heavy, her clothes were wet, and her neat white hat lied crumpled against the wall to the side.
She was upset.
She was so god damn upset.
Dawn was a state of anger that she could punch someone, and feel not a single shred of mercy. She was a state where she would violently fling any fresh poffin she had just made against the wall, without any regrets.
Dawn was a state of anger that could only be reached by those who were searching for the elusive Feebas.
Prince waded in the water, having acted as the platform in which Dawn could Fish from. He gave Dawn a concerned look as she started to kick at the poor rocky walls of Mount Coronet.
She was just happy that nobody was around to see her in such an embarrassing and emotional state.

Frostbite - open starter [Event]
The strings of colorful lights that hung on the palm trees of the cities and the limited edition flavors in the Malasada shops could only mean one thing: It was finally December in Alola.
Even if the islands lacked the crisp mountain air, the residents took their holiday festivities just as seriously. Older folks dressed as Santa in custom outfits to suit the warm temperatures and none of the major cities skimped on their tree lighting ceremonies. Many of them had to make due with man-made structures rather than a genuine pine tree, but the holiday spirit shined in the residents and snowbird tourists nonetheless. Artisans sold handmade wreaths that were decorated with seashells and bakeries were accepting orders in advance for their famous holiday treats.
There was just one thing missing to make the mood just right.
For many younger residents of Alola, the sight of freshly fallen snow was nothing more but a fleeting desire. Traveling to Mount Lanakila was quite a hassle without strong Pokémon and many have never made a point to go there before the Pokémon League was established.
“I wish it would snow in Alola.” was a common phrase around this time of year. Despite the rebukes from tourists who were escaping blizzards and freezing temperatures in their home regions, many children still yearned for a chance to have snowball fights with their peers and build snow people.
Mina was no exception either. Nothing could be more exciting for her than to build a snow sculpture.
Snow in Alola was just as rare as finding a Celebi in the wild.
“I wish it would snow here.” She mentioned offhandedly as the topic came up in a conversation the other day. “I bet it would be fun.”
And so it did. Weather forecasts couldn’t have predicted this phenomenon in advance. It just happened overnight. Everyone in Seafolk Village couldn’t believe their eyes then they woke up and the docks were covered in ice. The ocean was slow to freeze over but the sandy beaches were completely covered in pure white powder.
No one knew how it happened and some people worried about the safety of older folks and the vegetation that was sure to die off from this phenomenon. But the only thing that concerned Mina right now was building her first snow sculpture. Oberon waited patiently for her to bundle up with a pink fleece jacket, a knit hat and gloves and an ordinary pair of jeans and shoes. Believing this would be enough for their outing, the two of them set out towards the Poni Wilds to have the time of their lives.
Or so they would think.
