Objects, personal work For some time I've been wanting to to work three dimensional (I've always been so two dimensional...) and have finally started this series of wooden objects. The motifs are from my forest illustrations and patterns, they are a piece of the forest in double sense. I like to see them as little pieces of my imaginary forest that you can take with you, find a place for them in your home. The material I work with is MDF and acrylic paint. In one sense you could say I bring the wooden pieces back to the forest, as well, when working with recycled MDF, making it again into a tree or a stub. This is the first finished piece (birch) but more will follow, like the illustration below for example.
