Objects, personal work For some time I've been wanting to to work three dimensional (I've always been so two dimensional...) and have finally started this series of wooden objects. The motifs are from my forest illustrations and patterns, they are a piece of the forest in double sense. I like to see them as little pieces of my imaginary forest that you can take with you, find a place for them in your home. The material I work with is MDF and acrylic paint. In one sense you could say I bring the wooden pieces back to the forest, as well, when working with recycled MDF, making it again into a tree or a stub. This is the first finished piece (birch) but more will follow, like the illustration below for example.

Wall hanging

My newest product is here! It is a screen printed wall hanging, 100% linen, with a walnut wooden stick and crocheted hanger. Made in Sweden with love.

I like a multi function to things, and so this wall hanging is easily tranformed into a small tes towel!

Formex Fair 2014

Tenugui towel I'm happy and chuffed to have been one of the scandinavian designers who participated in the Tenugui exhibition in Tokyo, a collaboration between scandinavian design and japanese handicraft. The exhibitioned Tenuguis are for sale at the beautiful Kamawanu shops and the exhibition has also resulted in new exciting collaborations and commissions in Japan. All this has been initiated by my agents in Tokyo and Stockholm, and the exhibition opened earlier this year at the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo. Also happy to let you know my Tenugui is now in my webshop: www.annalindsten.tictail.com I ship worldwide. The Tenugui is 175 Swedish krona, somewhere around £16/€17 or so. A Tenugui is a very old japanese handcraft. It is a traditional hand-dyed, thin, cotton cloth used for different purposes; a towel, a table cloth, handkerchief, to wrap gifts in, to wipe your glasses with...
