I have chosen this scene because of the subtext, Joaquin Phoenix character has been betrayed by his sister and when he finds out he lets her know about it but not by directly saying it to her but but telling her son a story about an emperor who also got betrayed, while she listens to this she knows that he has found out and we can see the hurt In Phoenix eyes. The acting from Joaquin Phoenix is very inspiring through out Gladiator.
