NaturasterTale Arc 1 (Prologue)
Prologue
NaterasterTale. The AU where humans live naturally without the natural disaster causing monsters.
Hundreds of years ago, humans and monsters lived together in peace and harmony. However, all the monsters have the abilities to cause a natural disaster. For example, the King of monsters, Asgore, can make volcanoes erupt and control fire if he pleases, and the slightest thing could set him off. Undyne, the head of the royal guard, can make massive tsunamis and completely wipe out something if she got mad, and etc. Since the monsters had these sorts of abilities, the humans started to grow weary of them seeing as they had no powers so they couldn’t fight back.
This had caused a disagree that was becoming plans of war, in which the humans argued
“We don’t have any powers, you’re a big problem if your powers get out of hand, and we don’t want to risk our lives because we can’t fight back”
But Asgore disagreed saying
“But we haven’t done anything, and even if we can’t quite control our powers yet we’re not going to harm anyone. And we have no intention of doing so.”
And so both sides were readying themselves for a fight. But another monster with the abilities of a snowstorm with her fur as white as ice, Toriel, realising that they would be initiating a war with the humans will only hurt them, going against what Asgore had stated. While they were arguing about not hurting them, she goes up to him and begs him to stop saying that things will only get worse.
Asgore, seeing how strong and independent Toriel was, as well as how far she was willing to go to keep people from harm, agrees to her demands. So all the monsters get escorted to Mount Ebott, where they willingly went and remained, so no barrier was needed.
After many years passed, Asgore and Toriel had gotten closer together, and eventually married, During that time, the head scientist, W.D Gaster, realises that monsters aren’t meant to spend their lives underground, due to the fact that they have been living on the surface for centuries. This causes a great shock for everyone due to the sudden conditions, so he sets to work on making a serum that was made to help monsters grow and control their powers. He then takes it for himself, as a test, which ends horribly due to it being too powerful. One monster cannot handle its effects, so he starts to bleed, in panic, he goes out into the town of Snowdin. A trail of blood followed his steps but it all comes to an end. His research still exists, but so far no one has touched it. But what amazed everyone was, a beautiful tree that grew out of nowhere, standing tall.
It has been so long since humans had seen a monster, so they only believed it to be a myth, a fairytale of some sorts. Until the day someone went to the mountain.
