“I try to drink and avoid talking about that subject as much as possible,” he teased. When he brought up the stretching Fane felt badly, Ko had obviously sensed his unease. “No, no, it’s okay. I don’t blame you and I’m sorry about the bed.” Then an idea struck him. “What if I said something? Like I don’t like the way you smell and it’s because of the bed? I mean I feel like maybe they would do something right? Or I am just dreaming here?” He obviously couldn’t complain about it in a way that made he seem like gave a shit about what the slave thought, but maybe if he went about it the right way he could have something done. It was worth a shot at least right?
“The slave breaker? I don’t think I wanna know, but who the fuck is that?” If only so he could avoid him. There was no mistaking the change in Ko’s behavior after mentioning him and with a name like that who could blame him? “Yeah, I get you,” he nodded feeling awful for the guy. Who would want to get used to living in a cell, but what other choice did he have?
Ko’s words stopped him from continuing in his downwards spiral and he ceased his pacing and faced the fae, nodding as he spoke. “Yeah…I haven’t seen a human since I’ve been here. I am on your side I guess as much as I can be, but it seems like I’m the only vampire that is. I’m kinda used to that to be honest, vampires being a bunch of self-righteous dicks. Like I said, I’ve always done better with werewolves. I won’t tell them and I would appreciate it we could keep this conversation between us Ko. It could mean my safety and yours, but I think you know that.”
