The official Naughty BG3 Survey is out!

It seems like I'm not the only one here with a fondness for statistics, so why not have a full-blown survey for folks to fill out at their leisure?

You can fill it out here, or directly through this blog. It's split into three sections, and takes roughly 15 minutes to complete.

Your answers are completely anonymous, and even if you add your email to your response, I won't be able to see it. Your answers are the only part that will be recorded.

There are questions detailing gender identity and sexuality, please excuse me if the phrasing is at any point ignorant or exclusive. I'm trying my best, but still learning! Expect various tweaks to phrasing and added questions as feedback comes in.

The survey is open indefinitely, and once a viable sampling of responses are made, I will be periodically updating you all on any interesting observations I can glean from the results. I'll also be publishing the results eventually so others can over-analyze along with me!

Have fun! And remember, this is all just for shits and giggles. Don't feel any pressure to answer questions you don't want to- all but the age question are skippable.

I noticed quite a few people leave feedback on the survey expressing concern for my wellbeing! Which is very sweet, but unnecessary.

Yes, I do put real effort into this blog, but it doesn't feel like effort. I'm a big-time hyperfixator- once my brain latches onto a subject, it becomes a singular all-consuming obsession for me for quite a while, until I've wrung every last bit of information I can get out of it. Then, onto the next thing! This is my idea of fun. 😅 I don't know how to do anything half-heartedly. Some obsessions even develop into a lifelong passion, but with BG3 that remains to be seen.

I promise you though, I am able to regulate myself and take breaks when I need to, and I do have a fulfilling life outside of this blog, including a full-time job, friends, hobbies, life goals, etc. So please don't worry! If I ever get burnt out, I won't leave you guys hanging. If there is still a demand for this content by then, I'll find a worthy successor to hand the torch off to.

Not an ideal system, but I've used SoftCAT to organize data sets with custom tags before. (i.e. fanfic statistics. How many were wlw, crosscheck how many of those were omegaverse, ect.) Honestly, if you DO find a good free tool to sort through data, I hope you post about it here. SoftCAT is the most approachable and easy to get a hold of tool I've found.

Thanks, I'll be looking into that! Also love that you're using it for such reasons, these programs are always targeted towards boring professionals and it cracks me up that we're using them for stuff like this.

And if I find anything else in my search, I'll share it!

I'm glad people are enjoying it! I just slapped it together on a lark, and will probably be amending it with a few more questions and tweaks.

I want to find a third party extension that'll allow me to cross reference specific datasets for ease of analysis. As it is now, there's no efficient way to parse the data beyond the basics, and so far what I've tried has been lackluster. But once I can find a more efficient way to present the results, I'll publish them! And maybe do a quick video going through my hypotheses and seeing if any of them were correct. :) If anyone wants to play along, feel free to suggest your own theories about correlations and I'll include it.
