Paros. 

The sail over from Syros to Paros was similarly tough, but at least we knew what to expect this time. Despite the strong Northern winds we found a cosy anchorage bay opposite port Naussa where we ended up staying for a few days, waiting for a window of calm to move forward. 

The anchorage was not only very picturesque with typical Cycladic rocks sculpted by the winds, but also right by a lovely sandy beach with shallow waters, ideal for Thor. This time round Thor made a friend in an Italian boy of same age, Francesco, as well as Edmé, a four year old French / Polish fellow. Because we stayed at one place for few days, the boys got to know each other and played together very well, while we got friendly with the parents. It was a real nice couple of days. 

We also took the opportunity to see Naussa, which is a really beautiful port town, with the typical white houses and blue roofs found around Cyclades. The little fishing harbour was especially picturesque, and when the sun started to set, we couldn’t take enough photos to capture all the colours. 

Naussa is definitely a place worth a visit, although I think it’s much nicer to stay there on land, as the marina is not well sheltered making living onboard very tiresome in the rolly waters.
