HAPPENING NOW!!!! NAU STUDENTS!!! WE DEMAND JUSTICE
today I was told that some activist groups at NAU had released a list of demands from the university to rectify wrongs and improve safety for marginalized groups.

when I shared it on facebook I got a comment that I didn’t agree with so after muuuuch deliberation I decided to respond. and they responded with more idiocy. they eventually deleted our comment thread after I said I wouldn’t engage with them anymore, and told them to post on their own page.
which is so cowardly?? I’m seriously upset that they deleted the thread but I can’t quite figure out why??? other than it feels wrong and like they’re covering their ass when they misrepresented the demands of these students.
but if you go to NAU, care about anyone at NAU, or are interested in the climate towards marginalized groups - then def read their demands!
Student members of the Queer Activist Collective have been working closely with student groups and various NAU students on an active list of student demands. These demands are in response to a long history of systemic violence that has occurred on NAU’s campus, and to a campus climate that has progressively gotten worse particularly for students of color, and queer and/or transgender students. These lists of demands were delivered on Monday, November 23 of 2015 by a group of student activists to the following offices: Inclusion and Multicultural Services, Student Life, President Rita Cheng, the Provost and Vice Provost. We are demanding a response with an action plan by January 19th In the time between this release of student demands and the deadline we have given NAU’s administration, we will document our actions throughout social media using the hashtags: #concernedstudent1950 #truebluenau #nautakeover #nauwhatsgood.
