Mina was curled up on the couch with a book in her hands when Dahyun shuffled out of her room, her oversized hoodie making her appear smaller than usual. Mina glanced up with a soft but knowing smile.

"Hey there, my little munchkin" Mina cooed in a gentle tone, setting her book aside.

Dahyun blinked, standing frozen in place like a deer caught in headlights. the switch flipped almost instantly. her posture slackened and the faintest pout formed on her lips.

"'m not a munchkin" she mumbled, but the way her little fingers fidgeted with the strings of her hoodie betrayed her.

"oh really?" Mina teased, leaning forward with a playful glint in her eyes. "because I see a very sleepy girl in front of me. do you need snuggles angel?"

Dahyun's cheeks flushed pink as she shuffled closer, her regression fully setting in. she reached out to Mina, her voice small and soft. "snuggles pwease."

"there's my baby" Mina said scooping the little up with ease. she settled Dahyun in her lap, wrapping her arms around her protectively. "you're just the cutest, you know that?"

Dahyun nuzzled into Mina's shoulder clutching at her shirt as a yawn escaped her lips. "momma make it all better," she murmured, her little voice melting her momma's heart.

"I always will honey" Mina whispered as she pressed a lingering kiss to the little one's head. "now lets get you comfy, hmm? maybe a blanket and MooMoo too?

the little one hummed in content her face already buried in the crook of Mina's neck.

The Night Before Christmas

The cozy little house was glowing with warmth and cheer on Christmas eve. Twinkling fairy lights adorned the tree, their reflections dancing on the windows, and the scent of freshly baked cookies filled the air. Snow blanketed the ground outside, muffling the world in a peaceful hush.

Inside however, peace was the last thing on Seulgi's mind.

"Mommy! Momma! Did you hear that? I think I heard Santa's sleigh!" The little exclaimed, her voice bursting with excitement. She bounced on her bed, her oversized Christmas pajamas swishing with each jump she took. The bright red fabric was decorated with tiny reindeer, and her little stuffed bear Snowdrop was clutched tightly in her hands.

Irene, her mommy stood in the doorway with a gentle smile, though her tired eyes betrayed the long day they'd had. Her sleek black hair was pulled back into a neat ponytail, and she wore a soft cardigan that made her look as cozy as the evening itself.

"Seulie, Santa won't come until you are fast asleep," she said stepping into the room.

"But what if he gets here early? I wanna see him." Seulgi's voice was filled with pure wonder.

Wendy her momma, appeared behind Irene, holding a warm glass of milk. Her wavy brown hair was tied loosely, and she had a twinkle in her eye that matched the tree lights. "Santa's magic only works if all the little ones are dreaming, baby bear," she said walking over to hand her little one the glass of milk.

"How about a bedtime story to help you drift off?"

Seulgi pouted, her cheeks puffing out in frustration as she plopped down on the bed. "But I'm not sleepy! What if Santa needs help with the reindeer? or the cookies? Or..."

"...or you'll be too tired to open presents tomorrow morning," Irene interrupted gently, sitting down on the edge of the bed. She reached out and brushed a strand of hair from the littles face as she drank her milk.

"Santa's counting on you to get a good night's sleep. That's your most important job tonight," Irene spoke softly her voice calming.

Seulgi paused, clutching snowdrop tightly. "It's a job?" she asked, her wide eyes searching her mommy's face for conformation.

"Absolutely!" Wendy chimed in, sitting on the other side of the bed. "And you've gotta be the best at it, just like you're the best at decorating cookies and picking out ornaments."

Seulgi considered this for a moment, her little mid working hard. Finally, she nodded solemnly. "Okay. But only if you both stay until I fall asleep."

"Deal," Irene said with a bright but warm smile. She tucked Seulgi in making sure Snowdrop was snug beside her.

Wendy picked up a well loved copy of 'T'was the Night Before Christmas' from the nightstand. She opened it and began to read, her voice lilting like a gentle lullaby. Irene rubbed small soothing circles on the little ones back, her touch comforting and familiar.

As Wendy's voice filled the room, Seulgi's eyes grew heavier. She fought to stay awake, mumbling questions about Santa in between yaws. "Does Rudolph really have a red nose?" she murmured, her words slurring.

"He sure does," her mommy whispered, leaning down to kiss Seulgi's forehead.

"And the cookies... will he like them?" Her voice was barely audible now.

"Santa will love them," her momma assured her, closing the book quietly as Seulgi's breathing evened out.

The two caregivers exchanged soft smiles, their hearts full as they watched their little one drift into peaceful dreams.

As they tiptoed out of the room Irene whispered, "She is going to be up at the crack of dawn isn't she?"

Wendy just chuckled lightly "Without a doubt. But it's worth it."

Together they closed the door gently, leaving the little one to dream of reindeer, magic sleighs, and the love that surrounded her everyday. Especially on Christmas Eve.

First Day

Jeongyeon wriggled under her blanket, clutching her favorite stuffed puppy Rover, tight to her chest. Her legs kicked excitedly as she peeked her head out from her blanket fort. "Mommy! Mommyyyy! it's today!" she squealed.

Mina leaned in the doorway, smiling warmly at her little one. "It sure is Jeongie. Your first day of school!"

Jeongyeon bolted upright, her hair sticking out in funny directions. "I get to see Jihyo, an' we gonna color, an' play, an'-" Her excitement faltered, and her big eyes looked up at Mina, suddenly unsure. "But... but I gotta leave you..." she hugged Rover closer.

Mina walked over and sat on the edge of her bed, brushing her baby's messy hair back gently. "That's right baby, but school is going to be so much fun. You'll make many new friends, and Jihyo will be with you the whole time! And guess what?"

"What?" Jeongyeon asked, her little voice shaky.

"I'm gonna be right here waiting for you when it's over," Mina said, tapping Jeongyeon's nose with a smile. "Promise."

"Pinkie pwomise?" Jeongyeon asked, sticking out her tiny finger.

Mina linked pinkies together. "Pinky promise. Now, how about we get you dressed? You don't want to be late for your big day!"

"Okay, but... can Rover come wif me?" the little one asked holding up her stuffed puppy.

"Of course, peanut" Mina reassured her. "Rover can keep all the other stuffies company while you're in class." Jeongyeon nodded, still a little nervous but the excitement was quickly taking over again.

In the car, Jeongyeon kicked her legs back and forth, clutching Rover in her lap. "Mommy, you think my teacher is going to like me?"

"Oh jeongie, your teacher is going to love you," Mina said, glancing at her in her rearview mirror. "You're smart, kind and so much fun."

Jeongyeon tilted her head. "What if I forget my lunch? or... or my crayons? What if Hyo doesn't wanna sit wif me?"

Mina smiled softly. Your teacher will help if you need anything, and Jihyo is your best friend. She's just as excited as you are, baby."

Jeongyeon scrunched her nose, thinking about it. "Okay... but you gonna be dere after, right? Wight after?"

"Right after," Mina promised.

At the school, Jeongyeon gripped Mina's hand tightly as they walked through the colorful hallways. Her backpack bounced with every step she took.

Suddenly Jeongyeon spotted a familiar face near the classroom door. "HYO!" she yelled, letting go of Mina's hand and running over to Jihyo.

"Jeongie!" Jihyo beamed, showing off her pink backpack. "Look! I got dis one 'cause it's shiny."

"Whoa..." Jongyeon breathed, her nerves momentarily forgotten. "It's so pretty! I gots Rover wif me!"

Jihyo giggled, "We sit next to each other!"

But just as quickly, Jeongyeon turned back to Mina, her little eyebrows furrowed. "Mommy, do you hafta go?"

Mina knelt down to Jeongyeon's level, pulling her into a tight hug. "Yes baby, but you're going to have the best day. And I'll be right here to pick you up, just like I promised."

Jeongyeon sniffled, her arms wrapping tightly around Mina's neck. "I don't wanna say bye-bye..."

"I know sweetie. But you're so brave, and Hyo's right there with you. You're going to have so much fun."

"Pwomise you won't forget me?" Jeongyeon asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Mina kissed her forehead. "I could never forget my Jeongie. I love you to the moon and back."

The little one sniffled again but gave a little nod. "Okay... one more hug, pwetty pwease?" Mina squeezed her tight. "As many hugs as you need baby."

Jihyo tugged gently on Jeongyeon's hand. "come on, Jeongie! The teacher said we could pick cubbies!"

She hesitated but let Jihyo lead her into the classroom. She gave her mommy one last lingering look before disappearing inside.

When school let out, Jeongyeon came running out the doors with Jihyo by her side. Her cheeks we flushed, and her eyes were sparkling with excitement.

"Mommy! Mommyyyy!" she shouted, barreling towards Mina. "we painted, an' we sand songs, an' Hyo let me use her blue crayon, an' I ate all my lunch, an' it was sooooo fun!"

Mina scooped her up, spinning her around. "That sounds amazing, Jeongie! I'm so proud of you."

Jeongyeon grinned, hugging her tightly. "Mommy school's da best, but I missed you lots. can we cuddle now?"

"Of course baby," Mina said, kissing her cheek. "Let's go home and cuddle all you want."

As they walked to the car, Jeongyeon babbled about her day, her little hand holding tight to Mina's. And though the morning had been scary, she couldn't wait to go back tomorrow.

It was supposed to be bedtime. Supposed to be.

Irene sighed as she glanced at the clock, 9:30 PM. Yeri should have been asleep an hour ago, but instead she was bouncing on her bed like a hyperactive bunny,

"But mommy I'm not sleepy!" Yeri whined, her cheeks puffing up as she flopped dramatically onto her pillow.

"Sweet girl, we have already read three books, took a warm bath and even cuddled with Maple," Irene said patiently.

"It's time to sleep."

"But my brain is still awake! An also... Wendy unnie!" the little one suddenly gasped, sitting up. "Did you know turtles can breathe through their butts?!"

Wendy who was laying in her own bed, blinked sleepily. "Wait... what?" Yeri nodded furiously, her timy hands flailing as she excitedly shared her newfound fact.

"I saw it on the animal show! Their butts! They breathe through their butts!"

Irene pinched the bridge of her nose. This was the fourth random fact Yeri has brought up in the past ten minutes. Earlier she had asked if the moon was made of cheese, then if dinosaurs had friends, and at one point, she insisted they check under the bed for monsters "just in case they got lost."

Wendy groaned, pulling the blanket over her head. "Yeriiii, just sleep already!!"

"But what if the monsters are real and just pretending to be fake when we check?" Yeri whispered dramatically.

Irene took a deep breath, trying to keep her patience. Yeri was just so full of energy and sometimes, her little ADHD brain just couldn't shut off.

Getting frustrated wouldn't help. instead she thought for a moment, and then smiled. "Alright Bug. I have a secret trick that only big girls who need help sleeping can use."

The littles eyes widened. "A secret trick?"

Irene nodded, "It's called the Magic Sleep Potion. But you have to drink it and close your eyes for it to work."

Yeri gasped "where is it?" Wendy peeked out from under the blanket curious.

Irene walked to the kitchen and returned with a small cup of warm milk. She sat beside Yeri, gently handing it to her. "This potion makes you super sleepy. But only if you drink it all and snuggle under the covers right after."

Yeri took the cup like it was treasure, gulped it down and immediately snuggled under the blankets. "What now?" she whispered.

"Now I'll sing the Magical Lullaby that makes your eyes heavy," her mommy said softly, stroking her hair.

She began to hum a gentle tune, her voice soft and soothing. Yeri, still wanting to resist, blinked rapidly... but soon, her eyelids grew heavier.

Wendy sighed in relief as her little sister's breathing slowed. "Finally," she muttered.

Irene kissed Yeri's forehead before turning off the light. As she tucked Wendy in too, Wendy whispered, "can I get the sleep potion tomorrow too?"

Her mommy chuckled, "only if you have trouble sleeping."

" I might." Wendy mumbled, already half asleep.

Irene smiled leaving the room. Another Bedtime Battle successfully won.

Pillow Forts

Little Sana Cg Jihyo

As rain hammered against the windows, Sana's small frame shook with fear. The thunderstorm outside had her trembling, her eyes wide with fright as she huddled into herself. "Mama," she whimpered, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Make it stop, please!"

    Jihyo hurried over, her heart aching for her daughter. "Oh, sweetie, it's okay," she murmured, wrapping Sana in a comforting hug. "How about we do something fun to take your mind off the storm?"

    Sana sniffled, peering up at Jihyo with uncertainty. "Like what, Mama?"

    "Let's build a pillow fort together," Jihyo suggested, a glint of excitement in her eyes. "We'll make it super cozy and safe, so the storm can't scare us."

    Sana hesitated, but the idea of a snug hideaway piqued her interest. With a nod, she wiped her tears and joined Jihyo in gathering pillows and blankets. As they worked, Sana's fear gradually ebbed away, replaced by giggles and the sound of fabric rustling. Soon, they had constructed a magnificent fort in the living room, complete with a soft, cushioned floor.

    The storm raged outside, but inside their sanctuary, Sana and Jihyo laughed, hummed, and felt safe. "Thank you, Mama," Sana said, nestling in close. "I love our fort."

    Jihyo smiled, her heart warm with relief. "I love it too, sweetie. We'll weather any storm together."
