One thing about navier political power. The story isn't clear about. She is just queen consort, which it wasn't unusual until the female monarch didn't give a son. Maria Carolina of naples, was the same. But in same time being the consort doesn't mean you completely helpless. In fact navier doesn't look bother of not having children with sovier when she should have concerned about, no child, no political power. But in same time the story keeps saying she is a good empress. This is just example tell not show. Putting outside the slavery, what exactly navier did for earing title of perfect empress. It didn't show or discussed something she did for improving the emper. She didn't create particular alliance who benefit, commercial trade? Charity instructions? In age of arrogance the protagonist is war hero who protected tge empire who despise her. But her territory adore her because she finished a general war ans when empire trying not to pay for rebuilding she tricked him. In another comics i saw duchesses cheating new laws or trade.
While navier? What she did for her formal empire. She isn't also a arts patron!! And same time fandom and story say she is helpless without real power.
So, by this logic, the empire unless you were a slave, it was good because of sovier, no navier.
She can't be just helpless woman without power and same time she did great.
Sorry for the way the story framed navier was just potential child machine and public immagine but in effective politics she didn't nothing.

something that says that the author of the remarried empress(and most of her fans) never touched an history book in her life is the way that the story portrays the lack of children of navier and sovieshu, because there was many examples in history of what happens when a queen dosent give the king a male heir.
take catherine of aragon, she like navier had the position of queen consort, but because of her lack of sons henry the 8th decided to divorce her and she was banished to a life of retirement until her death from illness, that was the usual fate that queen consorts had when they could not concieve heirs.
some people can't stand the fact that probably the only reason navier became empress was her marriage with sovieshu and only that, because when she isn't doing her own personal schemes we barely see her doing something important for the empire(and no, the charities dosen't count, giving money is useless if you don't do a REAL change), ironically i think that navier fits the whole ''trophy wife'' arquetype more than rashta, becuase we see rashta struggling to adapt to the new royal work but she progresses! we never see this type of struggling with navier and honeslty is very annoying.
even if people say that navier ''worked hard'' to get to the top, the reality is that she was born with a golden spoon and had all the advantages in the world, she had the best education, family and opportunities, so no, navier did not work for anything she has, she is useless without political power and if the story had the ''realism'' that others says it has, she would never had the chance to remarry another powerfull king, and most likely she would have been taken to a nunnery.
So yeah, the story conradicts itself many times to Navier's convenience and whims, without that navier not only would be useless but also probably would be banished once sovieshu decided to divorce her.
