So, according to my dad I'm the resident NCIS expert. I have seen just about every episode a whole bunch of times, especially seasons 1-5. Give me the episode title and I might be able to tell you want goes on.
This last episode was a really good one, and it talks about a very true issue. Air Force and Army medics get EMT certified because of their training. But the Navy Corpsmen do not. And in this episode, a former corpsmen tried to save three lives, 1 sailor, 2 civilian. But, she can get in a lot of trouble for doing that because she doesn't have a license to practice. The sailor died but not because of what she did, rather he had internal bleeding.
I shared something on facebook about it and dad tagged the Navy Corpsmen we know and asked if she'd seen it. She said no and Dad said he'd let me recap it for her...
This is what I love about the show. It brings up the issues going on in the military and civilian world. They've gone over PTSD, Homeless, Sexual Assault, and a lot of other issues.
But really, should watch the episode. Navy Corpsmen are some of the greatest around and they work for two branches, Navy and Marines...and it's really stupid that they don't get EMT certified like Air Force and Army...
Medical
So, I'm working on a C-school package for Biomed Tech, which is in San Antonio.
I just realized A-school moved down there a couple years ago, I still remember fending frostbite of going to the messhall in Great Lakes for A-school, and shovelling snow.
It's amazing the things that change in 5 years.
Texas Toast with a side of eggs please.

My adventures in Texas are soon coming to a close. Such bittersweet feelings I will have. The memorial day weekend has been just what I needed to be with my friends. Its been such a journey with you all. I actually kind of tearing up as I am writing this.
In one week, it's back to Chicago. Back to normal civilian life. Back to actually Working. I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am about leaving. I feel however, a certain selfishness surrounding it. I am going home. Why am I sad about that? To be completely honest, I am sad because I know it will be familiar, mundane, and secure. Whereas here in SA, I am completely utterly free to do as I please whenever I want to. Is that so wrong? Or have i just become too comfortable with independence? I wrestle myself about it, because back home I have a wonderful man who I love, a family who is koky and unique, friends who are always loyal and true, and a school that I joined the navy for in the first place.
Never before have I felt such a strong connection before with one group of people. The only thing I canconnect it with is family. I truly and fervently love each and every one of my fellow shipmates, co-workers, roomates, friends, family members. I feel like we are splitting up and leaving the nest; like any family does.
Jesse Reimer, Crystal Kramer, Tila Hawk, Casie Mand, Matt Watson, Joshua Pearson, Andrew Durbin, IT2 Malady, Brendan McCaffery, Lindsey Roehre, Taylor Fedrizzi, Alexis Brown, and the always fabulous Morgan Peak.... I just love you guys. No other words in the English language can ever amount to the feelings I actually and truly feel for you guys. All of you have impacted my life in a specific way, and that is why I have included you in this post. We are all now Corpsmen, together for the common purpose of saving lifves one bandaid at a time.
Thank you guys for being true, and being yourselves, thats why I became your friend in the first place. Thank you guys for many memories, laughs, cries, chuckles, rages, and squeals. apart of my heart will always lie in San Antonio with the group of you. You are all superb.
