Ahhhhhh I loved your answer to my Lucien question! Lucien is obviously charismatic and great at talking to people (the reason why he was Spring's emissary in canon), so I imagined him to be an estate realtor or something like that! I'm glad we had the same idea! However, I also think Lucien is pragmatic, and incredibly intelligent, so it doesn't seem far fetched to me he could work something related to science? Idk. Just my opinion. But I think what you chose for him is ultimately the best fit! I love these type of questions too and even more, your detailed non brief answers :) I have one more (hehe), you mentioned Elain is an "academic", but unless I missed it, what exactly is Elain's career? And, I wouldn't mind if you did Feyre too....IF YOU WANT TO
Sorry for the delay! I don’t hate the idea of Lucien working in a science-related role!
I don’t exactly know why, but I can’t really see Lucien being in the medical field, but I could definitely picture him in research/public health! I could also see him working at a venture capital firm focusing on health tech!
So Elain and Feyre are both in college during In Vino Veritas (and in fact, Elain is still in school—albeit grad school—during Navy Suits)
Elain is majoring in Art History with aspirations to attend graduate school, obtain her PhD, and either be a college professor/professional academic. (Many of the world’s most prominent scholars continue to teach even as they publish their research, curate exhibits at museums, etc)
Elain’s considered an Italianist, and her focus of study is specifically Papal patronage in Quattrocento (1400s) Rome.
Feyre is majoring in Fine Art, her medium is paint, and she is really inspired by the Abstract Expressionists and more specifically, the idea that use of medium is equal to “meaning”
Having been to Europe many times while their parents are still alive, Feyre is convinced that the art that Elain studies is boring and stuffy. It isn’t until Elain takes Feyre to the Uffizi and shows Feyre the way Botticelli used gold leaf in the Birth of Venus to give the painting a textural quality that Feyre gets down with the Old Masters.
