This artwork hangs in my parents home, hanging on it are my dad's dog tags from his service in Vietnam as a Lieutenant for the US Navy and an Explosive Ordinance Disposal technician. In Vietnam, EOD teams supported not only their own military branch but also US Army and Marine infantry, Special Forces (Green Berets) and SEAL Teams, as well as Australian and Vietnamese units. My dad talks about his service with humility and reverence because for him it was just that, a service he chose to render to the country that he loves. I'm proud of my dad for doing what he could to keep his fellow soldiers safe and to make some kind of difference in this world. I am not cut out for the military but I am cut from the same cloth from my dad, and I am grateful to him for imparting that drive to make some kind of difference in this world...
