I noticed recently that Samus's run in Super Metroid resembles that of a distance runner - a very stable torso for minimal wasted energy (probably to do with aiming on the move tho). Idk i just find it interesting

Oh interesting :O She does seem the most upright while running in that game, maybe that’s just me- in SR iirc she tends to lean more into the run, in the other GBA games I can’t tell if it’s the shape of her suit and shoulders or not but she seems more leaned too. It does make sense because in Super she looks like she’s more alert to what’s above her and ready to fire on the run.

it's always a topic of debate but ultimately you can't rep everyone by restricting your characters to your own identity, imo

I mean I’m def allowed to HAVE characters of different identities from mine, it’s just when you start dipping your toes into the nuances of said identities that you risk being insensitive or incorrect. I can write a character that is trans, but I can’t write what it is to be a trans person, u feel
