Do not worry overmuch. He is currently getting drunk with a Gerudo and they are painting one another’s nails bright colors. He keeps trying to talk me into letting him do my claws. I’m not sure it’s a good idea, but it is a great deal better than earlier when he refused to move from a perch on my shoulder where he glowered at everyone who tried to speak to me!
Not that I minded actually. It has been most refreshing to get some time to myself after the last several months!
I miss and love you all greatly!

While he waited, Sheik chatted with Quin and held Sypha. Honestly, he was a bit too embarrassed still to bring up what he was up to with his little brother, but it was always good to see him.
He did wonder what his parents would think of it all.
Something for another day but he suspected his mother would be thrilled. Old, strange magic was hardly weird in Sheikah culture and well.... Sheik was sure his parents were aware that something was odd about him, they just politely didn’t say anything.
One of the koroks leaned against his shin, chattering along at him during pauses in conversation. All told it was a wonderful peace before facing the old hag in the forest.
@nayrusknight Do you want to know where the Yiga leader is? Because I’m about to go and kill them and I feel like you might want to watch.

He’s being a very good dog, he thinks. Hanging out with the stable dog is neat, and he’s even been pointed to where a hidden treasure seems to be buried. It’s far enough away from the stable that he figures he won’t get in trouble for digging it up, and it’s not like he doesn’t need a bath already. Digging like this isn’t the most mentally intensive thing, like running, so he’s comfortable splitting his attention between that and exploring the Slate in his possession.
It looks like, in his excitement to test out the new rune, he missed something. A few option presses later, and suddenly he feels his consciousness snapped back to his furry physical body miles away. He glows blue and gets lifted a bit as though he’s teleporting, yet he doesn’t go anywhere. All that seems to happen is a significant increase in size, thankfully properly to scale. He pauses to look at himself once he’s released from the grip of the tech, and...well.
He’s still smaller than a horse. But he’s significantly larger than a wolf now. His dog friend is staring silently, and it isn’t until he realizes that this isn’t the largest setting and does the process again that his dog friend expresses worry. Spontaneously turning into a glowing bundle of shards and growing larger isn’t normal, and it takes a bit of reassurance from him once he’s back to furry and not glowing to calm the dog down, even if he is literally the size of a horse now.
Zelda is either going to be delighted, horrified, or furious. Maybe some combination of all of them, he thinks. He figures running up to the stables like this isn’t terribly wise, and instead asks his dog friend to go retrieve the nice yellow haired lady who has a bag that smells like bananas. While his friend trots off to do so, he finishes digging up the chest that he was led to, and carefully fishes it out of the hole he’s made.
Royalty is stupid dignity is clawnstricting just fart in front of them to establish dominyance

When Sheik wasn’t wandering Hyrule he tended to stick himself to a fairly rigorous schedule. It had baffled the masters in Karkariko more than once, how stringently he pushed himself with his training. The fact that they were still... ground to a halt in the Domain meant he’d started picking that up again. A few of the Zora had joined him, asking after what he was doing and he’d been happy enough to teach them a few of the less...secretive Sheikah arts.
Now though he was putting his smaller counterpart through his paces. After all, if there was no Impa to train him then who was better to teach him than Sheik himself?
The routine they’d set up was interrupted by his slate pinging loudly. If he’d turned it up well, he was a worrier so what?
Calling a halt, Sheik went over to retrieve the device and flicked it on. A second later his face paled, warm tan to sickly in moments. His face blanked of all expression and he was certain that his heart had, in fact, stopped. Slowly, so very slowly, Sheik wrestled himself back under control. His skin prickled cold and hot as his temper twisted hard in his gut.
It settled, cold and harsh as a stone and he turned on his heel. “We’ll continue this later. I have to go.”
Sheik took a few short steps then stopped, the only sign of hesitation. No, he’d best tell Zelda he was leaving lest she wonder. Quickly, he set off to find her.

Sheik sends a message to Zelda asking her to meet him out behind the house. While he waits he fidgets with a few leftover beads, a bit of twine, a dagger. The little alcove he’s commandeered is close enough to the stables that Vadava is craning his neck over the fence toward him in hopes of a treat.
He’s still anxious, but then again he usually is. He can’t even tell if the nausea is from anxiety or whatever is happening to his body. Really, Baba could have given more than ‘he’ll experience some pain’.
“You don’t need anymore apples,” he tells the horse. “I gave you plenty this morning and I’m sure various Links are sneaking you more anyway.”
