@sleevcdhearts //christian heard there would be new people at the store, but he didn’t expect it to happen so soon. he should have been happy; it was his first shift after the not-so-grand reopening.
and yet.
he bristled when he saw an unfamiliar face behind the counter. not that he’d admit to himself. he was cool as a cucumber about it all -- jerry gone, new management, new staff, a complete pivot from life as he knew it. what wasn’t to like?
so christian swept the discomfort under the rug to greet them with a simple nod. “christian. you must be new.”
