To ring in the new year, we have some awesome tunes for you. Gangplans is an act out of Los Angeles. You may also know them as NazcarNation, which is the name under which they used to operate. Unfortunately (and I'm not sure if this is true, but it's what I heard), they were hit with a cease and desist from Nascar. Which is some bullshit. Because they were making cool tunes! You'd think Nascar would be all about that! Oh, well. Point is, they're still making sweet tunes. Go buy their record! It's on Bandcamp. And you can also snag a t-shirt. GB! JAN2014 Mixtape by Gangplans
"Fluff" is my favorite track off of Alca. With deep kicks, creamy synths, and glitchy hats, this track will get even the stiffest of stiffs in the mood to dance. And I say that being quite a fucking stiff myself. We're treated to smooth vocals and some sax parts reminiscent of Destroyer's Kaputt. I would call it neo-R&B, if that's a real thing. Really great stuff.
