After dragging the final five episodes out over the past several days, I finally watched all of them last night, and, this morning.
I finished the series finale at 4 am and I still don’t know how to function. lol. I can’t stop thinking about it because not surprisingly, it was very, very, very emotional.
Without spoiling anything, there were quite a few family scenes where tears were on the verge that hit really close to home. I teared up multiple times during those last few episodes (which was no different than the whole series) and I full out bawled during the last 5 minutes.
But wow. I’m very glad I finally got around to watching the show. Parenthood was definitely one of those shows that will stick around with me for awhile. I often get this feeling when I read a good, emotional fic, so that is a very, very impressive aspect a show can have in my opinion.
While I initially wanted to start Parenthood last year, right after the show went off air so I wouldn’t have to wait for new eps, I, for some reason, kept putting it off. Instead, I ended up watching Gilmore Girls within only 3 weeks last month (January) and was encouraged to watch Parenthood next.
And while my main reason for finally tuning in was for Lauren Graham, I ended up really falling in love with the whole cast. What a great bunch of actors who just....., have it. Beautiful performances from all The Bravermans.
Now, must find a Parenthood Series Finale Support Group, lol.
Just finished Parenthood and I have to say that through out the show my least favourite characters where Kristina, Adam and Max. I felt like they were nothing but selfish and let max get away with anything. On the plus side I really enjoyed how it ended with Joel and Julia getting back together and ending up with not 1 but two babies. I loved that Amber got her happy ending and that both Ryan and herself stayed in touch and were both parents for little baby zeke. I loved the show but felt slightly let down by the last series.
The show Parenthood is so fucking important to me. It's perfect. Like, when I'm done with this rewatch, I'll probably watch it again and fucking loveblog it. I meant to type live blog but loveblog also applies. I could write multiple essays about every episode. I won't, but... maybe. Everyone on this show needs multiple awards.
Hi! I'm planning on doing a Parenthood fanvid dedicated to the 6 seasons.
I've already chosen the song but I don't want to miss any great scenes. So feel free to answer this post with your favourite Parenthood moment and I'll add it to the video!
