back to zero; piper and celeste
Though they had only met recently, and they were still relative strangers, Piper still trusted Celeste, for some reason she didn’t know entirely. But it was nice, knowing someone who didn’t seem to mind how she was as a person, who didn’t mind how annoying she could be.
Though the pathways of the hospital were long and occasionally confusing, Piper seemed to know exactly where she could find her new friend, and walked the path carefully, checking the turnoffs around her to make sure she was entirely safe.
Soon enough, she came across a familiar face, and a smile spread across her own. “Hey, Celeste…” She started, her voice level, her heas held high, she was being better. But when Celeste responded with venom in her voice, a look if disgust on her face, she retreated into her shell slightly, her expression falling. “You know what, uh, never mind, it doesn’t matter.”
