Hey! I recently went to YouTube to rewatch North ound and discovered that it's gone! Is there any place that the series is still posted and able to be watched?
Hello! Northbound was made unlisted awhile ago, but it looks like there was a security update that made all of those unlisted videos private instead. It should now show up in a playlist on the channel, here's the link.
So I'm recording a podcast episode about Northanger Abbey this weekend, and wanted to rewatch Northbound so I could talk about it, and... it's not there anymore???
The videos are no longer on YouTube and all the old links take you to a page that says the video is marked private.
I know this may be old news, but does anyone out there know what happened? I really enjoyed that series and hope it isn't gone for good.
Our modernized, gender-bent Robin Hood web series Merry Maidens recently finished airing. If you liked it, or know someone who would, please share it with them. Tag them, send them a link, duct tape them to your couch and press play if you have to! (Just kidding about that last one. Sort of.)
Since we’re a low-budget indie show without money to pour into marketing campaigns, the best way you can support Merry Maidens is to watch, discuss, & share!
Thank you so much for being a part of the world of Nottingham College & Major Oak! We shoot a nerf bow and arrow in your honor.
Oh For Cute! Productions is creating multimedia stories for the internet like Northbound Web Series (a take on Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey) and Merry Maid...
Hey friends! ICYMI: what was formerly Northbound Web Series on YouTube is now Oh For Cute! Productions, AND we’re got a new lady Robin Hood web series happening there! :D
Hello there! Do you like female friendship (and romance), antics involving nerf bow & arrows, and original songs? Then you might be interested in our upcoming project, Merry Maidens, a modernized, gender-bent Robin Hood story!
Follow us here on Tumblr, and on twitter for updates.
(And in the meantime, bask in the adorableness of the Merry Maidens logo, designed by the brilliant Danielle Roberts.)
Anya here. (Obvs because this is my tumblr.) I’m making a web series and I’d love your help!
Stuff about the web series:
-It’s a not-quite LIW web series: a modern-day, gender-bent (all the ladies!) Robin Hood story involving music and antics and parties and romance and shenanigans.
-I’m looking for cast and crew in the Chicagoland area. (I know, confusing, my last web series was made in NYC!) Are you a film student looking to beef up that resume or a regular joe itching to work on a creative project? I’m searching for a cinematographer/DP, sound recordist, and other crew members (production designer, PAs) as well as actors! Please shoot me an email at [email protected] if you’re interested at all or have any questions. I’ll probably post a more formal casting call soon, but if you know you’re interested now, email me and I’ll send you the info ASAP.
Read on for more info!
*A few details*
7 of the 8 roles I’m casting are women. As of right now, all positions are volunteer-based. I am looking especially for women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community (as many of the characters fall into this category).
Stuff about me:
-I made a little ol’ literary-inspired web series in 2014 called Northbound.
-I’m on the development/writing/transmedia team for the upcoming web series Away From It All, based on Far From the Madding Crowd and created by the wonderful and talented @greatestvoyagehistoryofplastic.
-I’m on the development and transmedia teams for @pencilinkproductions new web series, the Cloisterham Case Files. (Which is going to be amazing. I’m incredibly lucky to be working with such talented people.)
Those are my creds. I’m semi-legit. Where’s my official LIW badge?!
Anyway, I’m very excited about this project! It’s going to be quite different from my last project in many (hopefully great) ways. If you’ve read this far, thanks so much for putting up with my ramblings. I hope that if you’re not interested yourself, that you might pass on this info to someone you know who would be. Merci mille fois! :)
