Do not trust non black ppl who use, misuse, or feel they have any right or reason to use aave. And make no, fucking, exceptions. This goes unconditionally for non black ppl who use the n word, too. An unwashed middle aged white man walked into my caribou & ordered a brewed coffee & thought it'd be well-received to announce (literally loud enough for everyone within the lobby to hear) that he "prefers his coffee Black like his women". 🙄I was the only black person on the schedule/floor today :| the rest of the women I worked w were either white or Latina.

And none of them bitches said a damn thing. They just went silent. Nobody confronted that man ab how inappropriate that shit was, letalone how fetishistic it communicated — or even told him he could leave if he didn't know how to behave. It's "Black Lives Matter" for you non blacks until it's time to actually show up or put in work to neutralize racists who casually do or say antiblack things. And meanwhile the white women I work w will break down, snivel & cry over anything. The funniest part to me is how them bitches went to performing like the shit actually offended them waaay after the fact by having these lil hushed sidebar conversations ab how "unnecessary" it was that the guy even said that.

These weren't conversations they had w me tho — the Black woman/women he actually made that tasteless remark ab. Nah. Them hoes only had reactions amongst each other. Never turned to me to apologize or intervene to address that guy — not even to just see if I was ok after having heard that.
