The NCDOT is currently exploring design options concerning the breach sites on Hwy 12 in Pea Island, but let's make sure they remember to preserve access to beaches as well. Check out the petition inside the article if you care about this issue. Again, it's not a petition that is for or against any specific proposal, but rather a call of support for preserving access to the beaches in the areas that would be affected--of which include the area at S-Turns.
