I bitterly(ironically?) listen to “Wonderful Life” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds when I’m feeling Suicidal. I don’t know why, it’s just something I’ve done so often it’s become habit. I know it’s supposed to be a love song of sorts. but for some reason it’s always spoken to the dichotomy I have in my soul of someone with so much hope for the world and so little hope in general. I guess in a way I see it as a love song between the two parts of myself, and it captures the struggle...?
I firmly believe that music is beautiful because it can exist in people’s hearts in so many different ways. It’s really wonderful.
