In 1997 at the Mainichi Film Awards, Nozomi Nagasaki became the first woman to win the 1996 Noburō Ōfuji Award for innovation in animation for her stop motion animated short Home Alone (るすばん/ Rusuban, 1996). Since then only one other woman has won the award: Geidai grad Onohana for Crazy Little Thing in 2014.
Home Alone is a stop motion animation that uses a mixture of cutouts, objects, and a puppet designed by Sumiko Hosaka. . .
I have horrible self-worth & I want to work on it & Idk how. My wife tries to compliment me & it makes me feel bad & anxious. I make her sad because the only way I can feel better is to shrug off or belittle her compliment. I am going to get a therapist in the next year but right now I cant & I want to make some progress myself. I was abused growing up & conditioned to think poorly of myself. Is there anything I can do to get on the right path? Please tag: NC2016 thanks so much for everything
I think it is great that you are self-aware enough to realize you are struggling with your self-worth, that you realize abuse of your past may contribute to this issue, and most of all that you have intentions to go to therapy. Try to start taking baby steps toward stopping yourself from negatively reacting to compliments. Force yourself to say thank you. You may not fully believe it, but you can respond in a neutral or positive way. It is a lot about self-talk, what we tell ourselves. So rather than telling yourself “oh im ugly, I cant believe she would think I look nice” Say thank you out loud, and once you become more comfortable with that, work on acknowledging that you were complimented because other people see something good in you, regardless of what you see in yourself. Remember it is all about our perspective. You may find some of the MH apps targeted toward self-esteem helpful, or self-help books or workbooks such as resources below:

Did you get a question tagged nc2016 ? Thanks
Hi anon,
We do have this ask and we will get to it as soon as we can but it can take up to 3 weeks to answer asks since we have such a high volume of them.
Thanks for your patience with us,

My hometown is Hendersonville, North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Mountains and the people that live there taught me love, respect, understanding, and embracing what makes others true to themselves. I'm saddened and deeply disappointed in those who had the power to make our country a better place but decided otherwise, attempting to darken the future of my beloved home state. That isn't the North Carolina I know, those aren't the views of the caring people I know who still live there. The state I remember and love is outraged, as am I. Although these narrow minded, un~american laws have been passed...prove them wrong~ Let's continue to love, understand, and support each other anyway we can. Help everyone feel safe. Stand by our LGBT friends, family, and neighbors. Let them know the love and caring I know and was brought up by in my beautiful North Carolina. Let's be proud that we're so much better than this~ ; u ;
ImageS warmly assembled by me. Please feel free to share, re~post them as much as you like. Let everyone know there's still love to be had in my home state~♥
