Epic Battle of the Keepers: Stanford vs UNC Championship

Introducing our two keepers, Claudia "Stone Cold Face" Dickey

And The "Always Animated" Katie Meyer

After 90 minutes and two overtimes, Meyer saves the first penalty, posing dramatically because she is the stuff of gods.

And the gloves come off! Rather than take a break between the most stressful moments of her goalie career, Nerves-of-Steel-Dickey has the audacity to take a shot on the invincible Meyer.

And she scores!!! What a power move sending it right down the middle! Meyer is chastened, but there’s plenty more fury-of-a-thousand-suns where that came from. Just look at her stare down the camera, daring you to doubt her.

And a great save from Dickey!

With appropriately Calm, Cool, Collected (TM) celebration. And they're still tied after the first five rounds.

But Katie Meyer saves the day for Stanford!

Silencing anyone who has ever looked at her ever.

Best. Penalty. Shootout. Ever. 

There’s so much to love about this. Highest stakes in college soccer. Tied 0-0 after 90 minutes, 2 overtimes, and a full 5 rounds of penalty kicks. The camera angles! How they keep crossing each other mid frame. Katie’s over the top bravado! Claudia’s understated trolling with that cheeky goal and steely nonchalance. The opposing personalities: fire vs. ice, red vs. blue, east vs. west.

I don’t expect anything to top this anytime soon, but I can't wait to see more of these two badasses.

Women’s soccer - College seniors Discusssion

Who are you excited to see go pro and where do you think/want them to play?

I am excited to see what happens with Jessie Fleming. Her career had already been so interesting and I think the next phase is going to be great to watch.

Selfishly, I hope she goes to the NWSL so I can watch her but she seems better fit for euro leagues.

So with the NWSL coming to a close I've had to work out where I'm getting my fix of women's sports until next summer:

#Womens Super League - The English Women's Soccer league, being in the UK I can download the FA player and watch all and any womens league game, sweet

#NWHL - So you can watch Women's Ice Hockey on Twitch and that's a thing I'm very excited about. Only recently got into the sport but I'm all for this.

#College Sports - So being British College sports has always been something interesting but since paying for Espn I have spent so much time watch both men and women's soccer and American football and even the Ultimate Frisbee final.

So yeah if anyone has any other things to reccomend I'll gladly take the recommendation.
