Meeting the Boys
Hey girls. We've gotten a couple of questions about how to meet hockey players at schools so we figured we'd make a post about it.
The easiest way to meet players at your school is by just being at the school. If you live in dorms your freshman year, you might live in the same building as them. If that's the case, become friends with them. Talk to them about things other than hockey and get to know them.
Another great way to meet hockey players is through your classes. Unless you're pre-med, you'll probably have at least one class with a hockey player and if you're in the same major as a hockey player, you'll see them everywhere (most athletes in general major in business, communications, sports management or nutrition).
Go to their games! Boys notice the pretty girls who sit close to the glass and actually pay attention to their games. This helps make nice with scratched or injured players who are in the stands. If you meet a scratched player, try to befriend him so he can introduce you to his teammates if he sees you when he's with the boys.
If you want a better chance to hook up with a hockey boy, go to the bars they go to. Most hockey boys are 20 when they're college freshmen, so almost the entire team can legally drink all 4 years. Find out their usual bar and go there with your friends. Talk to a hockey player at a bar and chances are, he'll buy you a drink if he thinks you're hot. And if you're lucky, you'll get his phone number and maybe even a tour of his bedroom.
Lastly, not everyone lives on campus at their school, hockey players included. If you go to a school where the hockey players live in a house, go to a party there. Even if you don't know them, a group of cute girls will almost always get into a party (this works at frats too).
Once you meet the boys, just be yourself! Talk to them about something other than the fact that they play hockey and genuinely try to get to know them. It's much better to be friends with the boys first and then make your move on one of them.
Good Luck!
