“I don’t know how to be lord of anything, I hardly know how to use a fork-” is peak darkford vibes and i’m crying into my hands @ncbystanders
❖ / from harley to ivy + "would you die for me?"
send me a ❖ + a question and my muse will be forced to tell the truth.
Pamela tilts her head to look over at her companion walking amongst her garden until she made herself at home on a bench. The greenhouse was lush and flourishing. Some might even say overgrown but Ivy was hardly the type to think so. Seeing her among the flowers, two things she care about deeply about. Loved. The question comes and she can’t help but wonder where it comes from. What seed of thought bloomed into this?
It sounded like a question that egotistical clown would have asked her. If only to stroke his devotion-meets-obsession kink.
Was she thinking of him again?
“I’d kill for you,” Without hesitation, without pause. It wasn’t a secret that if she had it her way, her plants would be feeding on that cheap purple suit and the flesh beneath it for weeks. But that’s not what she asked is it?
She asked if she’d die for her.
Pamela walked over to the bench, placing herself down next to Harley and looking at the roses blooming behind them. Beautiful, but not without their thorns. Like the two of them. “If it came down to saving you? I would.” She admitted thoughtfully, hoping that it would choke out any doubt in her mind. “And you’d bury me here, so I can continue to look after my babies.”
All of them, she thought as she leaned over and kissed her cheek.
"I'm not jealous, why would you say that?" / michael to nanette.
“Because your face has gone all broody…So serious–” Nan teases with a pout, her finger tracing along the line of his brow. She takes a seat on Michael’s lap as the bass of the club music thunders around them, arm draping along his shoulder while she leans in to whisper in his ear.
“You know, if you don’t like me dancing with other guys, maybe you should show them why I’m off limits.”
“under those crazy circumstances, i would rather be dead instead.” / michael to lily

“Give me a break,” Tiger rolled her eyes, leaning against the wall of the loft and counting her cash from the evening. It had been a good night, all things considered. Which is why she didn’t feel too bad about tossing a twenty on Michael’s head to make a point. “As if you wouldn’t trade places with the rich and the fabulous in a second.”
“You would have a huge house to keep you company as your parents fucked up marriage played out behind closed doors. Drinking only the best champagne, and wearing the fanciest clothes.”
But then why’d you leave? Lily hears the question before he can even ask it. She walked away from all of it, the money, the clothes, her family. Everything tossed away for the chance of freedom, for adventure and something worth wild.
That was the difference between longing for something and getting it, instead of having it given to you and not wanting it. Call her ungrateful, it wouldn’t be the worst thing she’d ever been.
“Trust me, you’d love it.”
“I’ll try to stay close.” / from nina

this was meant to be the end of it. severing the ties, nice and easy.
“you’re better off without-” but he wasn’t able to finish it as the alchemists started to pour into the coffee shop where he and nina first met. and he should tell her to run - to just go and forget everything about him because there’s a mighty chance she’ll never see him again.
but instead, like on autopilot, his body did the exact opposite. his fingers wrapped on her wrist as he tugged her towards the back exit and into the alley just leading up to the busier part of the town.
eventually they’ve lost the suited religious nuts into the thickened crowd and he dragged her into the closest shop he could find. a record shop that he always frequented, and he knew well that there are cubicles in there for those who wanted to test-listen their records.
he slid in one and pulled nina close to her, then he placed the headset over her ears, albeit pausing the music so she could hear him.
“listen. first - i know what you are.” and before she could continue, he placed a finger over her lips, “figured it out a few weeks after we’ve met. hard to explain but it’s just my thing - one of the perks anyway, i sense - see auras, see magic. you can call it some fucked up version of spidey-sense. second - if you want to stay close, i think it’s time for you to meet my family.”
❛ I think it’s admirable. Standing up against the big, mean world, and laughing. ❜ / from jill
@ncbystanders // jill.
“it’s also incredibly stupid - now the big, mean world’s back to bite us in the ass.” still, he was laughing. because he had zero regrets. they’ve basically flipped off any institution that dared stand their way - whether it was the moroi society, the alchemists or those religious nuts calling themselves warriors of light. and there will be repercussions, but history-makers had to shake the world up to make it better.
at least they get to do it together. he glanced at sydney who currently drives them off towards the perfect escape plan, eddie still on guard on the passenger seat and jill right next to him. his grin was wide and proud as they watched the rest of the world sink smaller behind them. “welcome to the new age, i guess?”
“I’m not letting you out of my sight.” / from jill

he chuckled, “you CAN’T even if you tried.”
❛ How’s dinner and a movie sound? ❜ / from nina
@ncbystanders // nina.
“tonight?” he asked, looking up from his phone before stowing the wretched thing back in his pocket after swiping away a few more notifications from one of the guardians.
they were demanding his presence back to clarence’s house, but stubbornly, he didn’t want to. for fuck’s sake, he’d already spent a full suffocating week with this faux family - already unintentionally avoiding nina’s invitations that he’s close to tearing his hair out. and he was promised some me time, so excited that he gets to spend more time with her yet again seemed to be cut short.
the narrowing of his emerald eyes contained how much he was seething. honestly, what could be so important now?
but the vibration of his phone in his pocket was enough indication that it was immensely necessary. with exasperation, adrian pulled his phone again and true enough, there was no question that he needed to get home as soon as possible. jill - was in trouble.
“i can’t.” adrian said to nina with a sad smile as he began shouldering his jacket. “maybe another time. it’s -” he stammered, tired of the lies, wanting nothing more than telling nina everything. but he’ll park that for now and hopefully she won’t get tired of this yet.
“it’s my sister.” he was already making his way to the door, like some fucked up superhero juggling a double life. “i’ll call you, okay? i’m sorry, i need to go.”
