"We love how you use multiple stitches in your crochet style of costume, and how your thread tension is balanced so well. We would love to see you use other crafting methods for future cosplay projects and really make your craft shine."
So - as expected - the fact it was all made of crochet counted against me 🙃
On the plus side, now I know that my designing and cosplaying skills aren't the issue, so I'm just going to crochet even harder 💪

After the prizes were handed out, we all milled around the stage and photographers appeared from all angles - and I saw an opportunity to continue being my dweeby self 🤪
In other news, I have gone through the full spectrum of emotions regarding crochet, cosplay and competing - and being a judge in our own local competition (Heimar og Himingeimar) helped a lot. I am now able to redirect all these feelings back into productivity and have decided I'm gonna start making shoes. Like from scratch 👠
But I'll start with Mirabel's espadrilles as the base of those is ACTUALLY crochet (gasp) 😱
I am of course still diligently working on queen Anna's dress but I had to frog 3 balls worth today lol
