Happy national coming out day. For anyone who needs to hear it:
If you came out today, I am so proud of you. You did something really brave and difficult. I am wishing you nothing but joy.
If you didn't come out today, I am proud of you too. No matter what the reason is, whether you are already out, or not at all. Whether you're scared, unsure, in danger, not ready, or just not feeling it, I am so proud of you.
You are a part of this community, you are loved and this day is yours, for you to participate as much or as little as you choose. The decision to come out is yours alone, and it can happen today, any day, or never, however you feel about it you are valid.
If you came out and it was a positive experience, know I am smiling with you. If you came out and it wasn't what you'd hoped, know you can tell me and I will accept you.
