When two Griddles meet, the most important activity is, of course, the biceps measuring. As a bone witch, the Reverend Daughter might not actually be the one to go to for this, but, any excuse to have the Night Boss touch you...!

NärCon Summer 2026

I cosplayed Gideon "the Ninth" Nav, at NärCon summer 2026. Mostly the same stuff as previous times, but with upgrades. ((Yes, I am a one-trick pony, but I love Gideon and TLT an inordinate amount, it's my only proper cosplay, whatever.))

I'm pretty happy with how the robes of Deidamia* and Casimir* work together! I've added more lace skulls to both, and fastened them together with a pin on each side (a skull pierced by a dagger) holding a simple chain. And I managed to get a pair of proper 90's goth boots, that my wide feet fit in.

The wig hath been much ventilated aka I enjoyed the detailed work of tying more hairs into it. Now it just needs to get a hairdo that doesn't make it look like "three months away from Drearburh shears"! I might need help from a hairdresser...

Also I have learned many lessons on dyeing wigs with Copic markers, thankfully I could wash it out and none of them show up.

Staff report from NärCon summer 2026

It seems minimum one time a con a fairy is approached by a staff member who complains about NärCon. Which is extra funny considering all fairies are fully anonymous and not seeking out staff. NärCons own staff is just so tired of them they regularly complain to visitors.

This year one fairy had a young female staff member casually mention she didn't like working with a certain other male staff member (no names given) because he's "a legit pedo". She didn't seem to phased about it, perhaps not even realizing the weight of such an accusation - which we find sad in of itself.

We think that is a big tell of the culture at NärCon. This young female staff member is so used to pedo/loil content being common and popular that someone being a legit pedo was just "kinda icky" and not a massively disgusting crime to her.

NärCon Summer 2026, Locked Tomb meetup, it's ONNN!

...only, I'm still working on the 23rd and can only visit NärCon on the 25th, so, sucks to be me. Oh well. I do hope others will go!
