“Awww! Y/N, look, Crystal and Twinkle high-fived each other! High-five? High-pawed? I don’t know, but it was just so cute!!!” he cooed at the tiny pomeranians scurrying up and down the couch he was laying on.

You glanced up from your phone, catching a glimpse of boyfriend!taeyong giggling at your clumsy puppies tripping over one another as they both attempted to nuzzle themselves into Taeyong’s chest.

You responded with a dry “hmm, that’s great,” before distracting yourself again by browsing memes on your phone. As adorable as Taeyong was being right now, you wished that he was paying attention to you instead of your two new dogs that you had recently adopted from your local animal shelter.

Sighing loudly and, very, obviously, you looked over at your boyfriend to see if he was going to give you any sort of acknowledgement. Nope, nothing. He obliviously continued stroking Crystal’s fur with one hand and tickling Twinkle’s tummy with the other, completely oblivious to the fact that you were sat on the floor, leaning against the couch, right below him.

You sighed again, laying your head on Taeyong’s chest and waited for his reaction. The moment he felt your touch lingering on him, Taeyong’s whole body relaxed, except for his heart, which was beating at a sudden fast rate.

He let go of the dogs, letting them scramble onto the floor, and looked you straight in the eyes, giving you the attention you’d been lacking.

“There we go, that’s how I like it,” you smiled at your boyfriend’s flustered reaction as you climbed off the floor and into the space next to him.

Burying your head into the crook of his neck, Taeyong wrapped an arm around your shoulder, mumbling a sheepish “sorry” and pressing a kiss to the crown of your head. “I got a bit carried away, you know how I get with animals,” he pouted, his breath tickling your ear as he spoke.

A small chuckle elicited from you because of his pouty expression, causing Taeyong to grin at your illuminating smile.

“It’s okay, I just wanted you to at least look at meeeee, you’ve been playing with them for two hours now,” you replied, shifting slightly so that you two were in a more comfortable position.

His eyes widened and he repeated the exact phrase that shocked him, “Two hours?” You nodded, saying, “And now you have to repay me with two hours of extra affection and attention!!” you whined and harmlessly hit Taeyong on the chest.

“I thought you were gonna say something a lot worse, and actually make me suffer, but I’ll gladly take that punishment,” he beamed at you and pulled you closer to him.

“Now, feed me snacks, call me cute and give me kisses like you did to the pups,” you demanded, crossing your arms over your chest. “Only good pups get that,” Taeyong retorted,

“Y/N, hug,” he opened his arms wide and you indulged yourself in his warmth. “Good, now, kiss,” he ordered and waited with his lips puckered.

You gave him a quick peck before saying, “Can I have my snacks now, Yongie?”

He rolled his eyes at your adamant pestering and replied, “Fine, only because I love you.” You let out a victorious sigh before Taeyong peppered you with the kisses he owed you.
