it felt like time slowed down for jungwoo the moment the café’s door opened and you came inside. he calmly reached for his coffee but his heart wouldn’t stop beating faster. quickly looking at his reflection on his laptop, checking if he looks good enough. as you were getting closer and closer to him, he couldn’t help but to be nervous, for some reason. the vivid memory of your smile lingers through his mind as if it was just yesterday.
the sun shining through the glass windows kissed your skin beautifully that he feels like you’re glowing. jungwoo even thinks he might be a little dizzy and out of breath as he looks at you. he smiled as he observes you at the waiting line at the cashier with a pout thinking hard about what to order.
jungwoo stood up to go to the bathroom, knees shaking knowing that he would have to pass by you. you noticed the boy and smiled at him lightly, but for jungwoo it felt like love at first sight all over again.
“hi” jungwoo paused for a moment,” to be honest, i have been looking at you from the very second you walked in here. and to be forward i would like to ask if you are single”.
Y/n laughed lightly simply replying “let’s meet again around evening tomorrow”.
his heart ached just by the thought of you walking through that door almost everyday not remembering anything, when for him everyday, it has always been the same feeling whenever you walk in through that door. always the strong sense of deja vu, the same speed of the heartbeat and also the pain.
he thought about how can’t shed a tear right now since this has been happening everyday since after that day. the same routine, going to the café,waiting for you then leaving. but today is different.
he quickly went back to his seat, quietly staring at the window when you sat down in front of him. he slightly panicked not knowing what to do, of course he was surprised by the sudden interaction.
“I believe this seat is vacant, and you have been looking at me the very second i stepped in here. are you not going to ask me out if i’m single?”
jungwoo was taken aback and very happy to say the least recognising the familiar words.
“She’s back”.
