The easy smile that had been on his face when Adam was around slid off. Michael sighed.
“It’s a long story and an old one. Once upon a time, there was a FATHER who wanted to make children. The second of these was called Lucifer and he was the FATHER’S favorite. The brightest and most beautiful archangel in heaven. He was allowed indulgences that none other was. But it wasn’t enough. No matter what was given to him generously, it was never enough.” Another sigh.
“It went on for eons. Finally, FATHER made a new project. It was called humans. FATHER made Adam and another indulgence, he allowed Lucifer to create one as well. She was called Lilith. Lilith wanted to be equal with Adam but she was not. She was not made from divinity in the same way. This angered Lucifer who also wanted to be equal with FATHER. Envy grew in both their hearts and Lilith was thrown from paradise.”
“FATHER made another human to keep Adam company in the garden. She was called Eve and sought to be a companion and things were perfect. GOD walked with his humans in the perfection he created. But Lucifer schemed. He twisted his way into the garden and tempted Eve into eating forbidden fruit. She got Adam to eat as well. They became ashamed of themselves now having knowledge. And when GOD found out....”
“The Wrath that split the sky had not been seen until then. Eve and Adam were thrown from paradise and an angel guards the entrance so they can’t go back. Lucifer’s older brother Michael fought against him in a battle that rocked heaven and ultimately ended up with the favorite archangel being thrown from it.”
“Two new titles were bestowed as a result of that battle. Lucifer became known as the Devil and Michael became known as the Prince of Heaven.”
