Now we both know my role was to get the location of their base of operations from the director herself, probably after a long night in bed together.” A pause as he leaned against the back of the loveseat with one arm, lips thinning momentarily to betray his apparent frustration. “But here’s the thing: she likes the tall, strong, and silent type. I did what I could, but her eyes were only for you last night. And we still need to learn where they’ve been making these false computer codes.”
With that, Napoleon raised an eyebrow at his companion, having refused to even come near the chessboard until he had straightened this out. It wasn’t often that women simply didn’t fall for his charms as he could be their ‘ type ‘ whether or not they realized it, but the sensation of failure like this was... annoying. Even more so when he knew there was a chance the Russian would hang it over his head.
“So we need a change of plans. You might have to get to know her quite intimately if we want to make any progress on this mission.” The statement was said rather delicately -- he knew that Kuryakin wasn’t the most sociable of individuals. “We can have two days to prepare. I can set up the meeting, introduce you to her, then step away and just listen in. Same old, but we just have to trade roles. How does that sound?”
