It was strange for Rebecca to be back in the world of wrestling after taking time off. Life had thrown her several curve balls, but it was ultimately the show Vikings, that had led her back to her one true passion in life...being in the ring. Now, after all the blood, sweat, and tears, she had made it to the WWE. The biggest company in the world that catered to her true path in life. The NXT tryouts had been hard enough, but here she stood outside of the entrance of the Performance Center, ready to restart her life officially as a wrestler and all the many challenges the job would throw at her.
Taking a deep breath, the 26 year old, who had already weathered so much in her young life, pulled the door open and stepped inside out of the humid Florida air. A rush of light and a cool breeze hit her face as she walked up to a counter to officially sign in for her first session on the road to becoming the wrestler she had always wanted to be. Her heart was pounding as she made nervous strides back to the gym area of the building. The duffel in tow, brand new and marked with the WWE logo, carried all the gear she would need for the day. And when she finally stepped into the large open room with so many lively figures already training, Rebecca knew she couldn’t turn back now.
Like a deer-in-the-headlights, she stood stunned as tried to accept that this was reality and not a dream. A few familiar faces seemed to ease her nerves, but, like anything else, Rebecca knew that jumping in and introducing herself was what had to be done. But first, she needed to change and get ready, or she was going to be late for her first class.
Walking to the locker room, she began familiarize herself with her surroundings. Seeing pictures of success stories on the walls had encouraged her and eased her nerves a little, and when she got to where she was going, she was finally able to sit down and take a breath, “Okay, Rebecca, t’is is yer life now. Don’t fook it up, yeah?”
