I love it when you top your class in a subject and your significant other has been complaining about it for over 8 months and now they’re declaring that they’re going to work super hard just to get that position of topping the class in that specific subject for the upcoming exams... makes me feel demoralized. Amazing, and absolutely exhilarating.

(And the irony is, in a relationship you’re supposed to motivate each other & be each other’s motivation. However, between us it’s just competition right now and I don’t have any more motivation to learn anymore after my partner’s declaration.)

This competition has led me to so much stress, and from this stress it leads back to me being competitive for working hard. And it’s a neverending cycle for me. And it’s unhealthy. I shouldn’t do this to myself. But I am.
