And what is with the progress bullshit? Progress according to whose measures? Chinese standards? Obviously it’s easy for the Chinese to progress when they have privilege!
How come the racism and discrimination is not talked about? How come the fact that the British refused to educate Malays is not talked about? How come the the discrimination of hijab wearing women in employment is not talked about?
The government can only rightfully talk about progress if there is true meritocracy and everyone starts at the same place, which is clearly not the case. It is so fucking condescending to be told you have progressed like you’re some naughty puppy. The Malay community has done well DESPITE the huge amounts of racism it faces.
That’s the truth the PAP will never admit.
