Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones 6.06 “Blood of My Blood”
I just love the way with Thrones that you can start off hating a character and that slowly, surreptitiously, without you almost realizing, you can find a few seasons later that you really adore them. Jaime Lannister would be a good case in point or The Hound. And some characters go in the opposite direction. You’re like, “Oh, this is an amazing human being. They could never do anything wrong.” And then, over the course of a couple of seasons, you start to explore them going in a different direction and you feel ambiguous about some of the things they’re doing. – Natalie Dormer
I just love acting so much because it’s basically an analysis, an exploration of ordinary live. So for every story, every walk of life that you could go and look through, there will be a script out there for it hopefully eventually. I like to challenge myself, and shake it up a bit. That’s why I’ve gone from dystopian future to corsets, and I’m excited about doing a horror and having tried a different genre. I’ll just continue to shake it up, work with writers, directors and producers that I really respect, and try to keep challenging myself and take myself out of my comfort zone. And maybe I’ll try CrossFit…at some juncture! — Natalie Dormer for Women’s Health Magazine.
