In The Relentless Moon by Mary Robinette Kowal, Alfred Wegener's remains are uncovered by the receding snow and ice in one of the chapter opening's news articles. (In 1963).

Wikipedia says that "Six months later, on 12 May 1931, Wegener's skis were discovered. Expedition members built a pyramid-shaped mausoleum in the ice and snow, and Alfred Wegener's body was laid to rest."

So, less they found his body for the first time, and more, they rediscovered it.

I did find this notation on Findagrave: "Burial Details Unknown. Specifically: laid to rest where he died in Greenland.
