I’m still very much on that ot3, Frederick/Cherche/Felecia man it’s just too good. So good. SO GOOOOD. Totally working a fic or atleats a one shot once i re-read some of their character interactions. Worrying about writing Frederick.

Oh man this is difficult. There are so many characters I LOVE and would LOVE to hang out with, but I’m gonna go with Yang Xiao Long. She seems like such a cool person to hang out with!

But ye see, Zach, an entirely trustworthy source says it was the NB bartender who threw the first punch, and violence is not the way to respond to just words that aren't hurting you. Now I'm going to hurl transphobic and ableist pejoratives at you, which will not hurt because they are just words. (Source: another post on the subject whose notes have been swarmed by TERFs D:)

Honestly, if the TERF didn’t throw the first punch, I wouldn’t advocate violence being done to her. I hate TERFs with absolutely every fiber of my being, I wish no goodness on them, but as much as words can harm and tear down, I feel that words should only rarely be met with physical violence.

(Usually aimed at Nazis.)

I mean, hell, a TERF tried to knife me once, and I didn’t so much as take a swing. I removed myself from the situation–more accurately, my friend did, because I was in too much shock to do much else than stare at this woman in complete bewilderment.

She should have been asked to leave, and, if she did not, then she should have been removed and barred from the premises.

AT THE SAME TIME, though, if you’re going to go into a place that is meant to be inclusive, and then purposely try to start shit with its patrons, you really shouldn’t expect that everyone’s going to take your nastiness lying down. Bar fights have started over less, and it’s an extremely touchy, painful topic.

This is a, “Talk shit, get hit,” situation, and while I still don’t advocate words be met with physical violence, you literally went into a bar and tried to start a fight. YOU WENT INTO A BAR. TO START A FIGHT.

No, you shouldn’t have been physically assaulted over it, but you’re still a fucking dumbass for thinking that a bar was at all a good place to pick a fight with people. Number one rule of personal safety: DON’T START SHIT IN A BAR.

I got to see Venus about a week ago. Even if Venus is highly unlikely to be made habitable, it made me happy nonetheless :)

You never know! The impossible is only as real as human ingenuity allows it to be! Someday, we may be living in floating stations in and around Venus, driving race shuttles around Saturn’s rings, vacationing on the Sun’s surface!

Sure, it’s all a little far-fetched, but we’ll just have to see what the future holds!

I'm watching Northernlion's stream VODs of Detroit, and there's a comment that rants for two paragraphs about how insufferable it is to listen to someone snark over the dialogue, and how it ruins the emotional impact, and how everyone else isn't helping by riffing on David Cage, and why can't they find someone who takes it more seriously? Then they called everyone "cancerous", and my 4chan-ism alarm made me burst into dismissive giggles

I can agree that it’s insufferable when LPers snark over the dialogue in good games, but this is David Cage we’re talking about. He has the emotional depth of a puddle, you aren’t missing much, just listen to the LPer and laugh at his jokes, because I guarantee you Northernlion could write circles around David fucking Cage.
