Shout out to my 10th Grade French teacher, who, when I complained that I could never remember how many c's and s's were in the word necessary, gave me the mnemonic "A shirt has one collar, two sleeves". I think of you every time I have to spell it. I also think of you every time I have to spell occasion because my brain devised the derivative mnemonic of "Occasionally, the shirt manufacturer fucks up, and a batch of shirts come out with two collars and one sleeve".
"I think we should hurry up," whispered Vimes. "It's getting rather restive. Is all this necessary?"
"Well, I believe one can summarize," said Carrot. "In exceptional circumstances, according to Bregg's Rules for--"
"It may come as a surprise, but these are exceptional circumstances, Carrot," said Vimes. "And they're going to be really astonishingly exceptional if Colon doesn't hurry up with that rope."

Sad fact
Faith is, at one and the same time, absolutely necessary and altogether impossible.

Nerve strokes…
I love how Sunrise on the Reaping once again made it very clear that Katniss is not special. This is a huge theme in Mockingjay as well, but I feel like so many people missed the point that Suzanne felt like she had to say it again ever louder.
Katniss is not special.
She is just in the right place at the right time for the revolution to use as a figurehead. And I think there's something so interesting about the parallel between Snow seeing Katniss only as a pawn and Plutarch and Coin seeing her in the same way. And yes, the revolution is using her as a pawn for a good reason, to free Panem, but that doesn't change the fact that she is not a person in their eyes.
And neither was Haymitch.
